I have done a ton of stuff and see no change up or down...is any one seeing any results?

And I was just thinking that 1 link was sending some pages into a dancing frenzy.
 
Sites are definitely moving but I do think that certain niches often become more or less "frozen" for months at a time. Pretty frustrating if you happen to be in one of those niches but it does eventually pass as Google doesn't want to be too behind the times. I suggest you just wait it out and keep building links. Hopefully all the benefit accrues over time, albeit not in real time.
 
google profits up 11%, that could be reason of almost stay-still of updates, why would they want to change algo if it is generating them now much more than earlier?

Ever wonder why they refer to algorithm updates as zoo animals? Possibly because webmasters are their sheep?

Since the penguin update, I've noticed (and some other members have also noted) that websites tend to move slower up the rankings with more fallbacks (+3,-2,+1,etc) than before.

Same problem here. Site just continues to dance. Majestic's Fresh shows I should be easily in top but I am not even top 100
 
it is so slow that it is driving me crazy. I am being outranked by blogspot websites with no backlinks. Most of these blogs are not even in my niche.

Yup, I see blogspot all over the 1st page on most of my most competitive keywords. Prior to penguin I couldn't find a blogspot in the top 100.

I did a view source of a google search result and seen this

Thats the thing, if you make changes to your site you have to site around for weeks until the next update. Then and only then will you know that what you have done has worked. Its a slow drawn out thing. Make small changes then wait for the update.
 
google profits on creating uncertainty. It is the uncertainty which forces website owners to switch to paid forms of traffic in order to supplement their organic traffic which was lost after the update. Even if this was intentionally done, it is almost impossible to prove. From what I see in the serps most non-branded websites have found themselves on the second page and beyond.

Indeed. I am updaing my site daily with unique content but articles are getting crawled after a week or so.

Can you name a few of those niches please?
 
Yep, it's definitely slower for some niches. For many sites though, I see almost daily updates.

One niche in particular is extremely frustrating as it seems to be easy and we have done a lot of work yet the sites won't move. My site was stuck on #42 for more than a month and then, all of a sudden, there were changes and now it's #8. We're continuing the work we did so hopefully, in the next month or so, it should be #1 or #2.

How much time have you given to see the changes? I think you have wait for a bit and take a rest as you have done many stuffs :P
Have you done excess? Don't even think about that :P
 
there was thread about google profits on same day (yesterday atm), it was about 11% up in long time.

So i was just referring to it :)
