Smartphones that keep privacy

It's been years since I'm using good old Nokia because I'm privacy conscious with smart phones. Within mainstream, there's iOS, Android and WP. However, all of the choices in one way or another require sharing a lot of personal information. There is no way to have a smartphone working decently without sharing all of your contacts, calendar appointments, and other stuff with Google. I have found that Ubuntu phones, Boeing Black and Blackphone 2 are currently best in privacy. Not sure about Ubuntu though. Boeing and Blackphone being not open-source, a user just have to "trust" them with privacy. In 2015 is there any option, other than living in a cave, to keep one's own life private while enjoying the wonders of modern smartphones? How are Ubuntu, Blackphone and Boeing Black?

for better PRIVACY i always go with old NOKIA phones...+ of privacy you can charge it once per week...a good signal ...
and if you feel deperessed you can throw it ...and guess what still working ...LOL

Honestly, there's no such thing as a "private" phone. As long as the chip is in and it uses a satellite, you can be tracked, hacked, etc.

I used to not care about privacy related to my smartphone, but today something a little too weird happened. I was talking about whiskey.. not searching for it on my phone or laptop.. and an hour later im on a site i always visit, and there's an ad for Jameson!

Coincidence maybe.. but i doubt it.

Agree with this.
Even if you think your phone is private its probably not,

i don't think so!!! Smartphone keeps your privacy

iPhone. Apple has a good reputation when it comes to privacy

the gov't has control over everything
