Smart meta tags

I know there are various points of view on the value of meta tags, but I found this code on a competitors web site.
They are updating the google bot Database with new as opposed to the old stuff google keeps. But what is the content code about??

This means that the robots should not take title and description from the open directory project (dmoz)

Thanks catchme. So why do I have to type in keywords and stuff when they didnt seem to have any.

I just thought it was some kinda auto generating keyword, description, and title stuffer.
