Slowly losing my mind...

Good luck to you also! I think I need to go out more be in higher energy places. Usually when I travel Im the life of the party and dont mind being group leader but in constrained situations like an office I kinda get anxious

Go see a doctor if you need to. Nothing to feel ashamed of.

Calm down mate, it is not a competition. I'm dyslexic, carnt eevn spel deepreshun. Tink u Ave itt badd
haha shut up I might cut my veins and post it on the internet ;P
I'm just sayin is not a medical condition

Welcome your depression and give it your attention for about 5 min, and then tell it to move on.

Have you tried supplements? Relax-All or Alpha Brain have worked for me.

Keep fighting man.

thank you guys. easier said than done tbh. i am taking baby steps, someday i hope i will see this thread and really do what u said...

Baby steps is where it starts, that's good. I practiced trying to be able to chat up strangers for years until I was finally able to do it without any anxiety. But I'm a firm believer that person to person interaction is healthy for the mood and mind. Starting with something small like practicing 2 seconds of eye contact with somebody as you order a drink, or greeting somebody as you walk past is a good first step typically. You'll be just fine soon enough! Optimism.

Yeah it's totally pathetic to ask for help from your fellow human beings regarding a serious issue. I hope you never need to reach out to this forum for some sympathy/empathy. I will be the first one to tell you "don't be pathetic."

OP, I have social anxiety and depression. When I get in large crowds I have panic attacks. When I do public speaking (which I do often) I have panic attacks after it's over. It's not uncommon.

You said you are taking baby steps. Why don't you just try saying "hi" to a couple of strangers every day. You don't have to have a conversation with them. You don't have to ask questions. Just say "hi."

I also recommend seeing a doctor or a professional. If it's that bad you may need some help. I see a doctor on a regular basis. It helps.

That's like Level 1 of internet marketing. My advise is work, work and work. Make something for you and hopefully the other negative things won't have place in your life :)

I feel like I have something similar - I find it very hard to socialise, find it hard making any small talk with 1 person let alone if I am in a crowded place.

Don't be embarrassed that you are that way - we are all different and we all have different skills and weaknesses.

Try not to put yourself into situations where this would be a big issue, but as someone else said, set yourself manageable challenges - like speaking to someone on phone, going to store etc. Over time you will come to manage your anxiety - and you don't have to try and force yourself to become a small chat expert or anything, rather you will learn to accept who you are and to feel confident in public even if you still don't talk or engage with people that much- not everyone has to be loud and outgoing to get on in life.

I'm slowly losing my mind
I'm pathetic
Alone
Lost
Only breathing, not living
Mentally broken.
In school? In love? Fear of getting a rejection? Whatever...

Just trying to bring out your problem/s so can offer you the best solution. :)

Your self-esteem is low at present at least. Otherwise, you have a cool and reasoning head... Imo, you don't need medical attention at all. You just need to relax completely and get the negativity out, whatever it is made of, from your mind, and analyse it to find the solution on your own.... first!

Re: Social anxiety. Do what I did when I too had that problem even when I was doing extremely well in my career. I suffered from classical dyslexia in my schhol days. That prevented me from giving myself a vibrant social life. But I kept trying to be a good "social animal". :)

What began a change in me was an old couple whom I almost saw evey morning passing my house on their routine morning walk. I being an introvert, never gave much attention to them, but the old couple always smiled at me, and whenever they walked nearer to me, both would give me pleasant heartwarming smiles and would say something like: isn't the weather too lovely today? Or, Hello, how are you? Or something similar and nice.... Within a week I began smiling back at them, and actually looked forward to meet them each morning. They, in their own beautiful way, lifted my soul several levels up and I too began becoming friendly towards people. You see, there are people out there ready to change you completely in a positive way, you need to go out and let them enter your life! Be open! Relax....

You too have that gift of attracting the right people in your life to enjoy it! But you need to remove the imaginary wall which you have subconsciously built around you and which is pressing you into losing your real freedom, which is called happiness in other terms!

It gets easy. I also had same problem as you. Just start going outside everyday - Even just go to a shop and start asking them stupid questions about things.. Just interact with people.. That's the only way to get rid of it. I am not saying that I have completely erased this problem, but it is a lot less then what it used to be.

I think you loss something that what you expect. That's why you got feel like this. All are pass by man. Stay calm and keep moving for other job.

Listen to some positive up-beat music, go for a walk outside for a bit and when you come back in you'll feel great.
