Hi, my money site went from #1 to #690 in less than 6hours on google.com

So something happend today. I dont know why, I havent done anything in weeks, even months.

What can I do? All the other sites on my moneysite where within place 20 in google, now eveyone is futher down than #690..

Can I contact google and ask? What can i do? Please help

Panda didn't like the site. Read other stories on BHW and see if you can find anything which applies to your site, anything you had in common with them and then you'll have your answer.

its happened to me as well, but i don't care about that lol. cause i guess its just a google dancing ;)

Leave it for a few days and see if anything improves. If not it is probably a Google Penalty given to you for low quality content or something like that. You can apply to Google to have a site reassessed and the penalty removed - but to do this you have to have a pretty strong case for your website. eg, if you have done black hat seo on it, admit it and say what you are doing about it; if you have rubbish content, improve it all then reapply and tell them what you have changed.

If you can't get the penalty removed but you have good quality content on the site, buy a new domain and re-upload it all to there. You will have lost your link building, but not your content.

It's been dancing before, going from #1 to #3 and then back up to #1 again. then a couple of months ago it went all the way down to #15 where one of the indexed pages on my site went up to #3 place.

This time all my pages within the page have dropped below #690

So it does not look like a google dance. Also, I've been on the first page for over a year and have a pr4 page. The last couple of months I've been number one, so google likes it, (or at least it did like it).

Anyone experienced something like thing and got it back up?

the content is great, and I have a lot of content, all unike. I did do a RSS modul direct to my money site with SENUKE 4 days ago, im starting to believe thats the case. I havent done any SEO on since sept, except that RSS thing on SENUKE a couple of days ago trying to link to my newly opened rss feed.

I had this happen to a site. Logged into Google Analytics one day, and noticed that search engine traffic went from a hundred or two hundred uniques to zero... It definitely wasn't anything SEO related, because it was before I started reading BHW and other sites and toying around with this stuff.

I'm still not 100% sure what caused it. I went into Google Webmaster Tools and asked them to re-assess the site. Never got any communication from them, but a month or so later the page was back to normal.

A few months before this happened, my site had been hacked and had an iframe injected into it with some malicious code. My best guess is that this led to the problems, but I don't know for sure.

The only thing I can tell you is this. I bought a domain back in march. In april I did a some shitty fiverr gig and an AMR blast. I sat on the second to last page of google for 2 months.... I did nothing within this time. Did not update the site once...I just gave up... after 2 months the domain came back to the second page. I added 50 pages of 700 word plus unique content and now the site receives 500+ visitors a day.

The penelty is not forever. Just trudge it through, fix your content, add more, build only 1-5 links from super high authority domains, and then re-submit to Google if its not back in 3 months tops

That is not a poor quality content penalty. That is an old fashioned Panda linking slap. I would bet a box of fresh Twinkies on it.

For the record, I had 4000 link pyramid built on fiverr for a lingerie sales site. the site was up to 19 and 25 or so for my keywords before I did this. I figured it need just a little nudge. I specifically told the vendor not to ping these links, as I prefer to allow a few months for google to find links naturally, then I ping a few links each day or so until I ping the list out.

Instead he pinged them all at once as a "favor" for me.

The site fell like a stone and is STILL at 300 or so. It hasn't come back in 6 months.

My advice to you is build another site. Please let us know how it goes, but if that site was your bread and butter, you better get hustling to build a replacement.

Google don't dance 690 deep. That was a slap.

Thats what i did, pinged my RSS feed to all sites..
A really bad decision.

Can I contact google and ask them to get it back up or shall i just start over on one my other domains?

Also I have 10 unike blogs with only unike content, videos and I'm listed in a lot of directories that I've had do apply for listing in..

It took me 2 years to get it on first place, and now I have to start all over again? what can I do? This site is my companies only webshop

Happened to me aswell, but keywords are now coming back slowly :) you should do some manual backlinks so google sees that your site is still somewhat authorative and it should come back. My site dropped 2-3 ranks daily for all keywords, but it is coming back at the same rate now and i'm starting to get money again :)

But my site dropped 690 to 1000 ranks in a couple of hours!!!
Thats not similar.

I will continue to add links to it slowly, but I need a site within the first page on my keyword or I will not have any money. My money site is our companies only store.

That may be your problem, panda doesn't like stale content. Update it a bit and then build a few high quality backlinks

I've ofcourse updatet my blog, news and content on my site. It is not a site problem going from first to 690 place on google!!!!:yell:

ITs a linking problem, and I pinged my RSS url with senuke. Thats all.

Please help me with suggestions on what i can do to get it back, or if you have been in the same situation, please let me know what you did and how it went.:)

what type of links was you building before the slap? profiles/articles etc ... and what methods was you using to build the links?

Before the slap i indexed and pinged my RSS feed by SENUKE. Before this only articles in newspapers and high pr websites. Also some blogs and other web2.0 with unike content.

i also registered my site with technorati the day before the slap?

Tell me these things and I will try to help.

Is it an HTML site or a WP site?

How many pages of good stuff, and how many fluff?

Do you have a privacy policy, about us, contact us pages, and a sitemap?

Did you ping these links from your computer, or did you use a proxy?
