Sites Gone? Google Update? WTF

Kids its diversity it has to be, i've never been hit by a panda until now, exact same day panda came, new microniche, from top 10 for 2 main keywords, crashed and burned to the bottom of the hellish pits of google. I ordered backlinking services but only put my keyword as anchor, big mistake and a silly one. Wasted time and money, and motivation . Lets see if i can pick myself up again...

I am confident that diversity plays a strong part - I have a list pinned to my wall of one of my authority sites where I have never done any backlinking. The link profile is a mess and anchor texts are all over the place with the highest percentage naked urls. Either do this for one of your own sites if you have one, or find a nice non seo'd website in your niche and print the bastard out and remind yourself everyday what 'natural' looks like!
 
I have a 6 year old EMD .com that was #1 for some time now in about 5 of my most wanted adult terms... then on the 13th I was placed under wiki for those terms hurt a little but not that bad, then about 2hrs ago the rankings disappeared in every term however I am not de-indexed... I did notice though that when you type in my domain .com in Gsearch the preview is not available anymore. Man I hope this is a short dance as that one site is 90% of my 6figure income, I will go pray and get back to you guys with any updates...

Same happened to 10 of my sites, happened on 16th but today when I checked they all came back and some ranked higher. It must have been an update as it was to coincidental that this happened at the same time or thereabouts to so many sites.
 
AMR is your answer. It's not like before anymore.
I just get a SB blast from a member here and I gave the #2 competitor info. The site is gone to nowhere! It's working well...It's not like before anymore...

From what I see this is a very short term plan. Sure, it wil rid the result for up to a couple of weeks (maybe 4) until the algo has had time to crunch the new links and decide whats, what. After this, it will almost certainly return having had those links you pushed discounted. Suppose, if your looking for a clearing for a few days its worth it should you be able to make bank in that time but longer term it won't work - tried it! :D
 
As of now, my site is back up, hovering around position 60. Though that's not anywhere near where I was (#1-#3 for all keywords), it's still an improvement. Let's see how it goes in the next few days. :-)

My tests confirm that negative SEO is quite effective at the moment as well. I doubt Google will allow this to continue for very long as link spam, for the purpose of penalizing competitors, would quickly grow out of hand. But I must admit, it is very fun watching a competitor tank in the ranks! :D
 
so is this a dance or a rollback of an algo / filter change that didn't go well?

can't remember a dance where everyone shifted down and back up at the exact same time...

Google saw that they can do nothing against BH tricks and tried to physically destroy BHers with a heart attack :D

My site gone from first page for several keywords to out of 1000 results overnight. Then it came back today with all the previous keyword rankings (and better). Funny thing was when my site got kicked I just checked out the top 5 sites for my main keyword. I made a google cache search for top 5 and used the text version of cache to check what google is seeing on them. The thing was some of those were really empty pages (no content at all) except that they have the paypal buy now button codes with their product name.

So clearly Google is trying to promote its PPC Agenda more strongly.
 
Oh thank god my sites are back to where they were (which is still not great after the ALN debacle) but I'll take it!
