I'm creating two new ecommerce sites and wanted to put them on the same shared host. I've used hostgator for pretty much everything so far, but wanted to move to something that would be faster.
Siteground appears to be the perfect solution offering wordpress optimized shared hosting and free ssl, but the problem is the disk usage. Unlike hostgator which offers "unmetered" usage, siteground caps you off at 30gb a month with a recommendation of 100,000 UV's a month.
I'm concerned that with two ecommerce sites, with all their pictures, that I will hit that limit quicker than I expect, and they will then try to push their expensive dedicated servers on me. I've read some customers who seem to be getting their sites shut off each month for exceeding their usage, even with fairly small amounts of traffic: https://www.shoutmeloud.com/siteground-hosting-cons.html -- he talks about it here as well, along with some of the comments.
Can anyone with experience with siteground give me some feedback about this? I'd rather avoid hostgator for something more optimized, but I don't want to be bothered with having to worry about usage restrictions when the sites are just starting to gain momentum.
