Don't put too much pressure on yourself....I often do that sometimes when trying to help others.
As you can see from most of the comments services is the way to go.
STEP 1: looking for a job should be his top priority. Doing IM with no stability is stressful and can cause you to make emotional decisions which are not good. Make sure when he is looking for a job he is flexible in what he is willing to to. As long as he can make more then unemployment he should take it because he has a daughter.
He should also have a resume for every position he is applying for. When my company collapsed I had a resume for - Design Engineer, mechanical Engineer, Sales Engineer, Acct Manager, Program Manager. Each one was tailored to fit the description.
I was also super flexible - I then had a resume with addresses from every state with in driving distance. I would go to Yahoo Real Estate, pull off an address within in 30 minutes of he job I was applying to and put it as my own. Companies will look for local talent before offering relocation packages.
I also wrote people on facebook who worked for companies that had positions open. I would send them a note and friend request asking them to get me an interview. People list what companies they work for...scroll through until someone looks cool and contact them. Most companies have referral fees - use that as a entry point. If they refer you, they get paid, and then send them to your linked in profile.
STEP 2: What ever he is good at, and likes doing - he should offer as a service or write articles. With only $60 and a link to BHW he could learn Scrapebox and make money NOW! Offering scrapebox services is huge.
STEP 3: Stay far away from any PPC or PPV. These methods are for those people with money to invest and complete emotional control. He is in neither position.
After you give him the link to this board - it's sink or swim. You can't teach people the tenacity and determination it takes to be successful in IM.

Wow that is beyond Nice of of you however I cannot ask you to do that. He is not the type to take handouts he likes to earn his money. Maybe you have something he can do to earn some money??

I would strongly suggest he reads BHW for a week or so and take ACTION. We all have our own way on here, and we all fund it by sticking at it.

Create a product, and then sell it. He could interview 10 experts on some subject,then package those interviews up and sell them as an insider secrets course.

2. Teach him basic On-page SEO
3. Build niche blogs with 10-15 unique informative posts
4. Teach him writing good sales copy(or copy edit others)
5. Flip the blog
Proven and will take maximum 1 day to complete 1 site. Minimum profit $70. This site will sale for $100 at least at Flippa(cost $10 domain + $19 flippa charge).

I don't know if you answered this, but there is a giant need for content writers, and good ones. If he can write good quality articles, he can charge good money. It is a good place to start and learn the game and put money in your pocket. 10 articles per day X $10 per article = $100 a day. That is good money these days.
