Singing the Firefox 3 Blues.

Other than the plugin issues it's a lot better. Give it a few weeks and I'm sure most of the plugins will get updated

Keeps crashing on me. I think it's just Windows. Thinking about getting me a Mac. Can't stand fuckin Windows anymore

partition 10gb and install linux... it's free and it doesn't crash, or pick up viruses, or trojans, or malware, or worms, etc. etc. etc. :D

come on guys. you're addons arent working simply because the meta data of your plugins dont express compatibility with FF3. There is a simple workaround for this. Just install the Nightly Tester addon, then in the addons panel you can click the button "override all compatibility" which will allow them all to run. Granted it is possible that some won't work as intended but not likely.

Okay, that's why I like it here. Don't hold back if you have a solution. Here is the link to Nightly Tester Addon. I'm going to restart Firefox and give this a try. I would like to get firebug running again. Then as you say, if it doesn't work, this little addon will allow me to set preferences to each plugin whether or not I want to over ride it and allow it to run or not.

I just found at the Firebug site they are fixing bugs as they come in and they have no known issues with Firebug working with Firefox 3. If anyone uses this for web development and web design fixes here's the Firebug link.

I just installed it before I have to restart Firefox. Wow, this is a real life saver. I am always having to fix other people's sites and then document the fixes to a web template design company. And we use Firebug, because it saves us huge time in fixing websites.

Now thanks to the Nightly Plugin and the beta Firebug, I now have a new article to write tomorrow morning and let 70,000 customers know about the fix. Thanks to jaeden and my searching Google for the answers on this one.

I never knew about the nightly build tester. It's only possible to fly in a few dozen circles at best to be of any use to anyone. Firefox forums, I have had little use, since I started using SCP for uploading files. Before this it was Firebug. But because hackers have taught me some hard learned lessons, I now have a much more secure method of sending data through the web.

Seriously everyone, what year hasn't been a huge leap and bounds year in learning on the web? Ever since I started working on the web in '96 it's been brutal every year just to keep up. It's fun for sure, but there's no end in sight on any fronts. Man I'm having a blast just learning how to get it right today alone! :)

I don't think you have a Windows problem. I think you've got a Vista problem. Piece of crap.

I had a strange experience the other day. I was a Mac guy for years, I means since 1985, when I had my Mac II. Loved it. Cried like a baby when Mac 9 got the axe. I was hardcore, bought OSX, kicking and screaming till the end. You get the idea.

Anyway, my job pulled my Mac from my cold dead hands about 4 years ago, and made my go PC. Hated it. Hated Windows. Then, XP came out. I was pleasantly surprised. It was actually stable. Didn't crash as much as that crappy 2000. I actually started having fun. Yeah, this Windows is OK stuff.

So last week, a guy at my job quit after a week, and they got him a shiny new Mac. I mean, killer. 24 inch screen. Slick. Nice. Or was it?

The stupid thing crashed about 5 times in an hour. It nearly crashed the system network at my job. Ran slow as crap. What the hell is this "Time Machine?" A restore utility? What the heck? Macs don't need that junk. They're not supposed to crash. WTF is this?

So, my point is this: Macs suck now, too. Vista sucks BIG balls. XP, in my opinion is the way to go if you want to play it stable and safe.

I run XP with VMWare Fusion on my Mac and both run with perfect stability... at the same time, and I don't have to worry about the clunky XP interface.

FF3 on Mac works very, very well.

Only thing that I don't like about FF3 is that my favorite CJ plugin doesn't work anymore.

I had many probs with FF2. Browser would crash especially on video downloads, tried all the usual uninstal reinst... etc.
Since FF3 has been installed things have been as smooth as a ....(don't want to temp fate)

All addons work fine. I have XP SP3 (was a torrent version)
