Really, if you want to make some dough, here's a good idea I just pulled from my repitoire:
Grab a domain somewhere...doesn't matter where it is as long as it's never been registered.
Pick any niche, get your keywords, get your content via whatever means. Get the site(s) put up, preferably wordpress based for ease of use.
Get it adding posts at a regular rate daily, pinging automatically, perhaps doing some fun things with iframes that ping your site with a visitor's ip every time they visit.
Get a couple of hundred backlinks, and get it put into the serps through your choice linking methods.
Once you have some results, sign up for text link ads (google it...no link here), and submit the site. I suggest you get this going in a cycle, and have the sites be at least a month or two old before submitting them, as TLA will periodically deny you, in which case you can use that site with one of tla's competitors, or cloak it with cpa...whatever.
