Similar keywords - Trouble in ranking!

I have two similar looking keywords A and B.(They are for different products but differ in only one word) I target these with different posts. Post targeting keyword A is ranking well on page 1.
But for keyword B, the post of keyword A is ranking on second page. B post is nowhere to be found.(It is indexed however.)
Any suggestions for this?
