Saw this the other day while browsing crypto videos on YT. I know someone who has a close relative that killed herself after doing drugs bought from SR for years. Up until 2017 a lot of people thought bitcoin was just a drug currency.

It's actually pretty good.
Especially the part where a rookie FBI agent linked the SL owner's deepweb persona to his clearweb persona and was able to actually identify the guy or how the FBI was able to locate the server just by using a very simple packet sniffing tool.
The moral of the story: if you do shit like this, don't fuckin reuse usernames between sites, don't make your Gmail username from your first name and last name and don't leave it anywhere online.
The guy was a genius, but made amateur mistakes, when he started out, which got him arrested.
The FBI would have caught him anyway, but maybe he could have had more time as a free man, if it weren't for those mistakes.

It is more of a documentary that shows the events and really does not cast a positive or negative.

The Silk Road literally made the idea of Bitcoin and progress of it slow. So many world governments are after bitcoin due to its use in sketchy market places.

Bitcoin has been favorited between the underground from its early start, Silkroad was just one of those places that grew to big and commercial so the government had to do something about it.
So i would not say that Silk Road "made" the idea of Bitcoin, it only exposed and increased the awareness of the darker side of Bitcoin.
