Should you marry before being successful or after it?

It seems to be a matter of mentality and upbringing. Although whatever this is the most critical correct and proper thing is feeling, sincerity, and love. Whether it is possible - you have to judge for yourself.

These are two seperated things, and you shouldn't postpone any of them from happenning just in waiting for the other thing to happen.

If you're rich you don't know if she wants you for your money, but if you're poor you can be sure she loves you.

In conclusion get married poor, divorce her just before you get rich and then get a trophy wife. The best of both worlds.

It depends on the person, I married before getting successful and for some reason, my partner got crazy after I got it so I got divorced. Now I have a girlfriend which I am super happy about. Always find a loyal one and not so interested in money! Never show the money until you get to know each other.

I beg the difference, I got one kid when I was 22 and then one more when I was 31, your far more mature to take care of a child when your older. I´d say wait until after 30 and travel, explore the world before that, do things that you want before you get a child, afterwards your view of life is going to change.
That's what I'm saying you're far too mature.
I had mine when I was 30. I know how I was when I was 22. I wouldn't worry so much, I would probably play more with the kid.
You can explore the world with your kid when you're 32 and he/she's 10.

But my point was that you don't need to be mature, at that age your parents can and will help out because they are younger.

There are far too many risks to wait until you're 30, especially for the ladies.

In 40 years when I'll be your age maybe I might see things differently, who knows ))

I think the question is kind of miss-guided tbh.

If you have the ability and drive to generate wealth now, you'll have the same ability in 10 years. It's not a 1 trick pony that you must then safeguard for the rest of your existence on the planet, that's peasant mentality.

When you get divorced, you're wife will take 50% (usually) of $ earned during the years you're together. Pre-nups are fucking useless unless your making multiple millions per year or you're on the precipice of a windfall as it only protects $ generated during the relationship.

Everything you earn prior to your relationship is yours, everything you earn after the relationship is yours, everything you earn in-between is split 50/50 generally.

Unless you feel that you're only able to make $ in the next few years and nothing after, then what are you worried about? If that was the case, for me personally, I'd be more concerned with why I can't generate future $s

ehh you shouldn't marry with that kind of thing in mind. find someone who makes you forget those preoccupations, someone who you just want to marry. also, not all relationships need to end in marriage. nowadays more than ever, it's okay just to be together.

It depends on the girl next to you. Marriage alone won't change anything if you're dating a girl. Only your relationship with your partner can make a difference. Some women make them stronger and motivate them to become successful, while others, on the contrary, are ruined.

I married the first time when I wasn't successful and got divorced.
Then I married the second time when I was successful and got divorced too.
Conclusion: I'll never get married again.
So what's the common denominator?

Never marry if it is only for comfort or convenience. You will regret it when you are sick and tired of being together for so long and there is nothing you can do to let go and not hurt someone.

I've just come in to read the comments)))
But about weddings! I am sure everyone should marry with the lovely person. It doesn't depend on your age or success. Someone can find love in 20 and someone in 60)
Do not lie to yourself - you will feel when it happens!!!

Quite justifiably, no woman would prefer to marry a man who is financially struggling. So, do not get married while you are struggling financially. Get married when you are financially comfortable enough. Later during married life, you incase you encounter a phase where you are struggling financially, by then a bond, a relationship bond would have been developed between you and your wife, so she may not just leave you at that time if incase you encounter a financial struggle. She would most probably offer some support, so that you get back strong financially again.
But, then not all women (not all men) are the same and not all would react and respond the same under various scenarios.
