Should we avoid G Webmaster Tools & G Analytics?

I've seen a few people mention, stay away from G's tools. They are not your friend. What do you guys think?

Should we avoid G Webmaster Tools & G Analytics? Please give the why to your answer as well.

There are rumors that they are no good for your site, but I personally never had any issues with or without :) Hope you get that cleared up and advise others! good luck!

yes,i don't use them since 2008 when i got my first site fucked after adding theirs spy codes
 
I use them on all my sites as well as the sites of the clients that I handle personally. They offer value to the site in terms of analytics so you can make smart decisions as well as aid in getting your site crawled and indexed.

My sites, as well as my clients, are all legit clean sites with no hanky panky on them so there is nothing to fear there.
 
I really like the webmasters tool as it is the only way to see what links google factors in to your sites rankings!
 
I really dont like google products
so i stay away from them

Recently, after 14 may update, I built 4 burn & churn sites to test them. (5k searches, easy competition).
I added 2 of them in both and another 2 in none of them.
First 2 ranked without problem on first page in under a week with 3 backlinks each and another 2 stayed not even in top 10 pages.

So, after that I don't submit my sites in either of those.
 
I use google tools and analytics, never had any problems.
 
Only for white hat sites.

I don't even do SEO logged into google, much less put their hands in my churn and burn.

I use GA on all my white hat sites, never had an issue.

So basically we can say, if blackhat SEO then no GA/GW but if whitehat SEO its ok to use them?

Would you consider PBN whitehatish?
 
Wow. It looks like a 50-50 Split. Would anyone like to comment on the must haves that you are missing out on if you don't use Webmaster tools? I'm going to skip Analytics & use Piwik.
 
You can't stop using GA and GWT because they provide very vital information about your business.
 
which tools would you use if you did not use googles

crap - there are plenty of other tools to get the data you need. Google is providing these tools for free for a reason - and it's not because they're Santa Claus.

If you read around here and other IM forums, you'll see that G is on the PBN warpath - I think you can consider them non-white, and don't even think about installing g tools on those sites. I don't even think about using it on ANY sites.
