Should I try to earn backlinks or buy them?

Hello everyone,

I am searching for some answers regarding backlinking strategies. I want to start a blog and grow it fast, get a lot of traffic, a high ranking on search engines and so on.

I have read a lot of articles about backlinks and made a little research on SemRush for a few competitor websites in my niche, but I can't seem to understand how they are getting so many backlinks in a short period of time.

I have also seen that there is a possibility to buy backlinks. However, everyone says "don't buy backlinks", but they seem to be doing so. The numbers don't add up, it's impossible to get tons of backlinks through the classic manual process (there is no other way, unfortunately).

I would like to know what your opinion is about buying backlinks and what type of links should one buy without affecting the blog.

Buying backlinks will be costly. Dont go for PBNs. Also, even sites doing paid guestposts got hit bad from Google. So, whatever you do, you have to strategize for longer run and not for short-term. Do you work right, create good content, be creative and you will see spike in numbers. Also, if you have budget and everything then there are professional digital marketing agencies (check site on my signature) who are willing to give services (and they play long-term game). So, nothing that harms your site.
 
You need to be careful if buying backlinks, the wrong type or poor quality can really mess up your sites rankings and it’s near impossible to rectify. The safest bet if your unsure is to build them yourself on a regular basis while posting quality unique content, again on a regular basis. These big high ranking sites you see with tons of backlinks will more than likely have an expert team working solely on the seo side of things.
 
If you have big budget for backlinks, you can buy it. But one link can cost $300, $500 and more
And you should understand that this is not enough to buy links. Getting free backlinks is necessary too
 
You should do both, but make side it is good quality backlink. Not trash backlink.
 
I suggest you to either build backlinks on your own OR to get help from agencies that employ real outreach techniques.

Whatever you do, keep the following points in mind:

1. The site from where you get backlinks should have real organic traffic from Google.
2. Aim for sites that have atleast DA 20+
3. The post that you submit to the site should appear in their homepage atleast once, so that you know it is genuine.
 
Best way is to earn backlinks. This can be achieved by a number of methods like making controversial posts. For instance, post something like how I made 1 million in an year with blogging or as an affiliate. People will share this.
 
It's depends on your need, but you have to be careful while buying backlinks.

This is a good point.

We can't ignore the value that controversial posts can bring.
 
I think you should try profiles backlinks not blogs. It's more useful as for me. 30 profiles backlinks will be enough for first month.
 
If you have the budget, you can always buy but you need to learn the basics first like how to find good sites.
 
apee is right in suggesting that you can simply earn backlinks. An important thing with using backlinks is that you need high-PR back links which you utilize over a period of time and not all at once. These will get your blog a good google ranking. What's important to note is that not all traffic is the same so you'd want backlinks that are related to your blog niche and use them wisely to generate consistent traffic over a period of time.
 
Buying backlinks thats your choice but you should also know how to earn good backlinks.

Do both and try to get relevant backlinks avoid irrelevant backlinks.
