Another vaccine thread? I guess so!
I need some advice. In my country it seems to be 'natural' you take the vaccine against COVID. If you don't, everyone wonders why. Family, friends everyone questions my on why I would doubt taking the vaccine. I am not anti-vax. I just have doubt.
So here is my thread. I am doubting to take the vaccine and need some advice.. On BHW? Yeah, to be honest, I would not know where to ask else and there are alot of smart people here. I browsed google and youtube enough, did research and read research papers but I'd like to know the people's opinion and gather knowledge. I have listed the pro's and cons for me to take the vaccine and not take the vaccine.
Why I would take the vaccine:
- I can travel again
- Go do 'things' again without taking any....
- (no) COVID tests to get into places
For me, being vaccinated for health is important to. COVID seems to be quite terrible if you're affected in a bad way, but honestly, those reasons listed above would be the most important reasons for me to take the vaccine, which is when you think about it, ridiculous.
Why I would not take the vaccine:
- Heard that the vaccine companies are not responsible if anything goes wrong with the vaccine
- Long term unknown effects
- I really feel like there's a huge push to take the vaccine which makes me doubt things. Government issued commercials 'telling' you the vaccine is good and you should take it to protect your loved ones and such.
- New variants which are on the rise. Hearing rumors that later this year the country would close down again even if you are vaccinated.
Short term effects would not be too bad, but the long term effects are something I really think about.
I dunno, I would like to be protected against COVID of course, but I'd like to get some more information. Yeah I know there will be some biased and joking comments below on whether or not to take the vaccine, but my question is kinda serious.
Would like your take on it. If I would take the vaccine I'd have Pfizer.
