Going off soon, it's close to 11 over here.

LoL. same time hear. Take care man! thanks again!
Not going to sleep. Too much on my mind right now.

Education IS indeed important, trust me :)... My own opinion is that the formal education system is years due of a major recouple and "upgrade", so to speak. Also the formal education system has been infested by individuals from all walks of life that are religious and political extremists, etc. and I'm a firm believer in the mind, I don't think it should be filled with rubbish. The only relevant point I have to make is that opportunities, technology, and education has advanced, where degrees carry little value anymore. It's who you know, what you know, and a little bit of luck. Dump the system :) - if you're an American or European abroad then you can also get an online degree back home - time management.

Same, just going off to read a book.

Good luck with it though, just choose the right choice. It's your life :) You don't really want to go into IM and later finding out it's not what you wanted. Just to list out a few points of a life based on the internet,
1: No contacts, difficult to get friends.
2: You'll spend almost everyday looking at the computer, pain in the ass for some. It's more fun to get out, at least you get to socialize.

A couple more I'm too tired to list out.

Still, remember my first quote :)
Formal Education makes you a living, Self-Education makes you a fortune.

Night!

"time management"

this is something i will need to learn if i want to balance be in IM and study as well.

You're right there for a few of them.

IM also gives me the financial freedom to do things i can never do earlier.
Attend internet marketing seminars (which i will be able to meet more people) grow my contacts, attend more seminars (seminars by Adam Khoo). Travel around the world to attend many different type of seminars held by top internet marketers (add more contacts).

Of course. All my money must be made from IM

Time Management and Mind Mapping works effectively - ;)

I like personal development :)
I am gonna get the mind map book by Tony Buzan soon.

any time management books to recommend?

- (the Late) I bet it's a quality lecture.

Absolutely stay in school. You never know what the future holds. You may not want to work for other people in the future but have your own business that YOU run. Hell it may even be internet marketing with an office full of guppies where YOU call the shots. Get the damn degree.

Hello BHW members,

About my dad. He is like is robert kiyosaki's poor dad mind.

Life = study hard ---> get into local uni --> get a degree --> graduate
--> get a job --> build a family

I don't want that life....

I see myself in you. :-) My dad too is of similar mentality.

Im in college too ..my plan is that I'll complete my studies ( to make my dad happy ) and then do what "I" want to do ..'business'!

My suggestion for you would be to 1st figure out what you really want in life ..then think of what your loved ones expect from you. When your done ..make a plan that satisfies all criteria and that makes a 'happy ending'.

Cheers

Not to discount your internet marketing expertise but it's no secret that the success rate in IM is pretty low, and may get even worse. With that being said, what's your Plan B if it doesn't work out? Without that degree, your options are severely limited.

Secondary education, beyond a diploma, makes you an overall more well-rounded person. I'd stay in school but focus your attention to things that can enhance your IM career path...business classes, programming classes...etc.

On a lighter note, think of how nice it would be to be the big pimp on campus with a fat bank roll, sweet ride and women falling at your successful feet. I'm in my mid-thirties so I'll just have to live vicariously through you :)

Don't quit.

Your dad is right.

If there is a university education up for grabs..........then grab it with both hands and use your time there to get as much out of it as you can.

There are people who give their right arm for a university education.

Take a look at this guy and he definitely will be a millionaire in the next year or two. You are a young kid and you have plenty of time to make a lot of money.

You should try to enjoy your time at school. Having only a limited connection to the internet should only make you smarter, because you will have to use more of your smarts to get where you want. So you purchase a server and run lots of bots from there with limited data back to the client. Of pay other people to upload when you make money. Be creative. You can have it all.

University degree, happy father, lots of money, do what makes you rich and lots of girls.

Don't trade one thing off against another.

TAKE THE FUCKING LOT.

WIN / WIN - THAT'S SMART.

best of luck,

Rudy

I've decided to....

to stay in school

Like people like to say, Stay in school. STAY away from drugs lol

Smart decision. Do not quit. You will be glad in the long run, trust me. I know ppl who quit when I was in college and they never went any where. Some even went back later when it is harder to go back. Congrats on a wise decision.

Thank you, and thank you everyone here :)

If you've got well running businesses online, no risk etc and the money you make is more than you expect from a job after university is finished
then maybe you should quit

I had exactly ONE reason to finish mine, I wanted the degree
But I already had a sure job, without job there would have been more reasons ;)
