Hi there! Before I ask my question I'd like to say that I love BHW. I've learned so much valuable information from this community, and you guys have helped me so much. Thank you!

My goal is to build a genuine authority on the web. I'd really like to quit my 9-5 and turn affiliate marketing into a full time job. However, as of right now I'm not making anywhere near enough money to do that.

I currently try to write and post one article every day. My idea is to add one outsourced article, in addition to the article I write, to my site every day.

I'm wondering if outsourcing my articles is going to be detrimental to my goals or if it would help me grow my site faster and make more money.

I'm also interested in knowing whether or not posting two articles a day would help me gain traffic/ build my brand. Would it be better to just continue posting one a day?

Lots to learn still. Thanks in advance,

Zach

If you have the proper writing skills and the available time, it's always best to write your own articles - since who knows your subject matter better than you?
However, if you don't have the ability to crank out all of the content you need, a writing service is a good idea; just be sure that they can supply articles with valuable information, and that they can match your current writing style so the site doesn't look like a "mashup of stuff" rather than a coherent authority source.

Thanks for the insight! Does posting two articles a day just look spammy or would it help SEO-wise?

That is actually I like to start new projects. It gives it a nice boost and you time to casually write an article until the ones you purchased have all been posted. Of course, you optimize them for your keywords, etc.

No, You are able to post even more articles as long as requirement, but you need to continue in the same manner for everyday.

Never outsource your articles, if you're capable of writing your own articles! There are too many things that could go wrong. You could outsource to an outsourcer, who could rip off their writers and result in DMCA complaints and such (rare, but it happens). Otherwise, you're paying $5 an article and getting a $2.5 article.

Nobody is going to be more passionate about your work than you. It is best to do everything yourself, if you can! :)

Consider that time = money. If you have your method mapped out, the article investment will pay off. Sometimes in 2 months, sometimes in 6, but hey, that is when you are ready to make such a small long term investment.

Lol @cobaltblue87. OP write articles yourself AND outsource, there is a service on BHW that never lets me down when im having a somewhat lazy or maybe even an unmotivated week.

Take a look @ http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...t-authority-over-20-000-positive-reviews.html

This service never lets me down. The writers this service has are second to none.

Yeah I suppose this is true. Just have to be careful and check everything. I wouldn't do it on one of my main sites, but thats just me. :p But, outsourcing is great for getting tons of articles in a short period of time.

If you are going for an authority site, get your articles written by those who have proper knowledge on the topic as it will help attract visitors instead of simply forcing yourself to write stuff just to reach your daily limits. Go slow, make use of social media and grow with time.
