Hey BHW!

I have recently learnt about copywriting / freelance copywriting via the popular app TikTok. I have seen it involves writing emails and ad sets and so on, and I feel I have the skill of good language and writing skills, complimented by a wide vocabulary. I am 16 year old secondary school student, who should of been sitting my exams, but they have been cancelled due to the virus. I basically want to know is it a skill I should learn and then try to sell?
If you have any experience in it please feel free to tell me about it!

Thanks everyone!
Joe

If you want to be a successful internet marketer, copyrighting is a skill you should absolutely learn and master. The better copies you right, the more people will convert. And the more people that convert, the more money you make. So if making more money is worth it to you - learn it. :)

Thank you! A genuine and informing reply.

Hey, Joe.

Any skill is worth learning if you're interested in it.

The best thing you can do is practice, practice and more practice. I started off writing my own content because I wasn't too happy with the quality of others.

I then started writing for others, affiliates and so on.

I now do some landing pages and sales conversion pages.

If you fancy giving it a go, start small and build!

YES! Copywriting is a very needed skill in IM. You can always write copy for other businesses and make nice money on the side.

Other example: With good copy your Ads get better Conversion = less money spent for those conversions

Of course! It is a skill which will always be useful specially on this steam. Not only on this, you will start using that skill in daily basis even to write an email as you said. Go for it! Good Luck!

Learning to write will open the door to many opportunities and improve your communication with others; important in both personal and business relations.

There are some excellent guides on both Udemy and BHW that will improve your writing proficiency, just do some research and you'll find them.

If you have any writing-related questions, feel free to give me a shout and I'd be happy to help. :)

I'm new here so can't really comment on copywriting in context of the wider BHW, but I am a copywriter and what I will say is that copywriting could be a great way for you to earn some cash, particularly if you've got no bills and lots of free time.

There are plenty of copywriting services for you earn a bit of money while cutting your teeth. I'll be honest, the money is terrible to start with. The bottom tier of most of these sites can see you writing 1000 words for as little as a few dollars.

I'm aware you can sell copywriting on here but I don't have any experience there yet. My personal preference is iWriter. The bottom tier pays terrible and the top tier hardly ever has any jobs (but when they do you can easily make $0.06 per word) but I've been consistently earning about $60 per day from 4-5 hours writing for a while now.

Of course, I'm here because I'd like to parlay this talent into something more substantial, so I don't have any answers beyond that. But as far as getting that talent in the first place, practice makes perfect, and you may as well get paid to practice.

Hello! Thanks for your reply and I’m very interested in speaking to you. Is there any other way I can contact you via a form of social media such as telegram etc?
Best wishes
Joe

Yes you should

Even if you do not make a living off copywriting, it is definitely a skill you need to master to some extent if you intend to build any sort of marketing business. So no matter what path you choose, take some to improve your copywriting skills along the way.

Copywriting is the most important skill in marketing a business and generating sales. If you know how to write a great ad copy or a sales copy then why not launch your your own services. Digital product or service and serve people.

Copywriters charge more when they write ad copy...

If you like writing, then the answer is Yes. But if you don't like writing, you will be making money but cursing yourself because you won't enjoy doing what you do.

I hope its not let for me. I am fluent in english. I was asking if you could help me with a guide to copywriting afterwards or if you are a writer, you can give assignments for 3 days to see if I can handle copywriting.
