Hi, I'm about to start an Amazon affiliate niche website and I'm currently on my keyword research. I've found niche in sports, these products are for professionals and are in range of £200-2000 (I'd say it's £500 on average). Screenshot for Longtail Pro and Market Samurai for #1 keyword - it's "product+review", 1k global EMS:

The second one has 590 global EMS and it's "product+review" as well.

Both in #1 and #2 keywords, every website in the top 10 is kinda big e-commerce site in the niche (they sell quite a lot of stuff in that) and this is what I'm afraid of the most, there is no affiliate niche site.
It's my first website and it's first time doing some SEO myself, I have few hundred bucks to spend on that, I'll write articles myself.

What's the question you're actually asking? If we think you should give up? How to outrank those websites?

I'm asking how difficult these 2 keywords are.

I myself would go for them but they will probably be very difficult to move up to a good position. You might want to start with going after easier keywords in that niche, most likely long tail. You can build each page to rank for a much easier keyword which could be a specific product. Once your site starts ranking for all of those long tails it will make it easier as you start to go after your main keywords as your site will already be ranking for a lot of relevant content.
