I myself would go for them but they will probably be very difficult to move up to a good position. You might want to start with going after easier keywords in that niche, most likely long tail. You can build each page to rank for a much easier keyword which could be a specific product. Once your site starts ranking for all of those long tails it will make it easier as you start to go after your main keywords as your site will already be ranking for a lot of relevant content.

It seems like keywords are difficult to rank because there are some good authority sites already.
