Never understood why people need to have an iPhone since the dawn of 3GS that was launched (if I remembered correctly) without movie capturing capability (some guy made MJPEG app). Unless you need it for app development or you are doing something where status symbols are important (real estate, whatever), I don't see why you would have it at all. Even if you have money to buy two of them.
 
the X is so seXy, i might just have to take the plunge and get it. going from the iphone 7 to 8 feels so lame

1000$ hehe. Here it costs 1319€, which is about 1.472 $. However, I am really excited about the augmented reality features and the upcoming apps using this feature. Reminds me a bit of Microsofts's Hololens.

Apple is crap, designed for status-seeking sheep who take selfies instead of managing their money.

But if you wanna throw the most money away, I guess the one that is just a easily hacked and overpriced screen is the way to go.
 
I honestly don't see the purpose in an iPhone 8 seeing that the last 2 iphones are very similar. I'd say that if you were willing to pay for an iPhone X, you should definitely go for that one because it has a lot more value for the cost.

That's bullshit. If you want a feel-good spend, go on vacation with your family, girlfriend or friends. That's something you will never forget. But iPhone X/8? You will forget everything about it the next year when the new iPhone comes out.
