Should i get the iPhone X or 8?

1. stay with ur current iphone
2. spend ur money on figuring out IM
3. get so rich next time u just buy both versions of the iphone and throw away the one u dont like :)

Its not this or that for me, its more like this and that. I like to take calls and book them ubers on the 8/X while I'm happily vacatoning, and get the new one that comes out next year and vacation with it :D

I still have a 6S Plus by the way, was looking forward to the X (as in the next iteration) for a couple of years now.
 
I always buy the latest, just sold my 7 plus for $600 and using a spare phone until november 3rd.

All these people wining about the price need to realize it's 2017 and people spend average 2 hours on their phone daily.

Yes I'm willing to throw $1000 at something I'll be staring at for 730 hours!!

well the X is first gen of a new type of phone. if you wanna risk first gen problems do it, if not hold off til Xs

Your money, your choice man. I just don't find a point in it or any sense at all. I mean, you use a cellphone basically for 3 things:

1) Calling & Texting - every cell on earth can do this
2) Internet/browsing - most phones, even prehistoric ones, come with a browser
3) Apps - any smartphone will have access either to iOS (apple devices only) or Android and 99% of apps today have a version for each OS.

So, what I don't get is why you need the latest phone, which has NOTHING new, zero, nada, null... when the previous phones can do everything you want the phone for and more. They put up some more memory and some storage (which you won't use anyway) and justify raising the price with hundreds of dollars? Seriously? Xiaomi phones already have 6GB of RAM and the latest processor and they cost around $500-600. Iphone with 2x less specs costs 2x more just because Apple fan boys cannot resist getting the latest shiny screen and showing off to their friends lol..

Anyway, it's all relative. If you have the money, buy every iPhone out there and Android as well, not saying anything about that. But, if you are struggling to even survive, like 75%+ of Americans do, getting the new shiny iPhone for $1k is the most retarded thing you could ever do and proves that marketing is what sells the iPhones, NOT their value, because their value is SHIT compared with other phones or previous generations.
 
I was on the same boat not knowing what to switch my 7 for. I bought an s8 for 570$ off ebay and am super happy.

it's all marketing. apple is a big brand. the cool kids use apple, it's cool to have an iphone. that's why iphones sell like hot cakes. almost everyone has the iphone. it's pretty much THE phone. i don't think the price is justified for the X, but i don't really have much of a choice. no way i'm switching to one of thise shitsungs or LGshit

my thought: if its mostly for safari, chrome, whatsapp emails usage.

then better save these $ for IM. otherwise, if u play a lot of games and video, it will never be better than a decent computer with 24'+ monitor

therefore, still save $ for IM... lol
 
8 or X..?

If you want new design go with X. But if you want tested service go with 8.

Because: Apple newly designed OLED Display and Face Recognition, it may have some problem.
