Should I call each office individually?

I have worked on getting a site (relating to dentistry) to the top of Google for keywords in my city.

I want to contact dentists and offer them to rent out the site. Keep in mind, I have the phone numbers of 110 dentists in my city.

Now, which of these two options would you recommend?

1) Call each dentist on my own, one by one

2) Use a service where I can record a 30 second clip, load phone numbers, and have it call all 110 dentists at once

You call and don't get discouraged. You could hear 109 no's... all you need is 1 yes.

For a rookie I would expect if you call all 109 you will get 8-12 meetings and close 1-4. Unless your script or sales abilities are great.

Do the first one, you will get leads quicker.

Looks like that's what I'll be doing. Any suggestions as to how I should start off the conversation?

Thank you. All I need is 1 to say yes, as I'm renting out the site (can't rent out to more than 1 person).

Good luck... in future i will need to do this too :)

If you feel comfortable about making then calls then by all means do it yourself.

* Do not use that automated call out system. I have tried this before, with other things = FAIL.

The best way I think to do it is walk in to the office, and act like you work for an advertising agency, or someone else. Act a little nervous, tell them this is your first day, blah blah blah. There is actually a thread on here talking about this way. I think it is the best. Face to face.

Either way I wish you the best of luck.

Another way

Email them, to where they all can see eachothers email addresses, or ten at a time or something. The point is letting them know that you are offering this site to other dentists and the first one to purchase gets it.

Hope that helps.

Good Luck!!! I really do hope to read a succesful post after this, about how you just rented your first site out to a dentist.

subscribed. I read this method here on BHW along time ago, and wanted to try this when I have time. Please let us know your results, how many people you renting ad space to and for how much?

@thedon23 ....let us know how it goes, really would be interested to hear of your results.

one guy uses post cards, sends to each 4x until he meets his quota, guess he gets good results.

I'd mix it up with sending and email....never know, if they tell you to get lost via phone, an email just might get their attention.

Good luck!

I would suggest creating a short video about how your website can help them. I would outsource the calls and have your VA get their first name email address and then load them in a autoresponder. Next simply create a message which will direct them to them video and shoot it out to them. If you do this correctly, the calls will come rolling in! :)

Call each dentist by yourself but only taking say 10 or 20 in a day

How are you supposed to get the actual dentist on the line? I know when I call any type of doctor office the actual dentist running the practice is always busy. Do you leave a message or how do you approach it without them running away because you're trying to s.ell something?

I did the EXACT same thing (actually kinda eery)... I just used slydial to skip to voicemail then do a 30 sec. recording.

I think there is a method explained in the offline forum on BHW about this with a twist. The twist it getting it ranked well for the keyword Dentist Your City.

Then you can call up those dentists and get them to pay for advertising even if you get only like 25 UV a day it will still be very targeted vistors.

And for them every lead is worth a lot.

@OP would like to know how this works out for you :)

I'm sure you can tell them to pass the message on to the dentist.

How did that work for you?

I'm thinking of making a nice looking, one page advertisement, and going to all the dentists in my city (10 or so a day) and handing a copy to the receptionist.

What do you guys think?

I agree with fvcktheworld. Also, check out "Fireman Mike Finds Gold on Main Street" on youtube. There's an extended version with more detail, but I can't remember where I found it.

I could only find a short video about Fireman Mike - had some good nuggets of info in there. I didn't have any luck finding any longer versions of that session.

I'm a door salesman, I do cold calling on a personal basis for a living.

Make sure you're talking to the person in charge of the operation - the head cheese. Always, ALWAYS start off the conversation saying "Hi, sorry to bother you..." They want to know you value their time first of all. After this you have 30 seconds to grab their attention on your focus. Just go right into how you will better their business and make them TONS of money. Minimize and maximize, minimize efforts, maximize income etc... I.E. "You'll be paying a small fee but in return have a highly profitable customer base bringing in a lot of money."

Yes 110% goto the place of business face to face will make sales even bring a small laptop with you with a google window open to your sites KW listing and then a 2nd with your site showing them what you have to offer

I own a telemarketing/auto dialing company. For a list of 110 prospects you definetely want to call them on your own. With the auto dialing you can expect 10% of your list to make contact with you, then 10-15% of that number to become clients. With that in mind, your list of 110 will only provide you with 1-2 customers. What you should do is build out the site with the top 50% most successful dentists on your list. Then call the dentist office and show them what the site will look like with them on it. Maybe even offer a week or two free, so that they can see the value of being on your site, then once you have them hooked to the leads they receive you can name your price. Good luck!
