I am looking for an expired domain name that overlaps with my target niche market. However, the only drawback is that it has a small number of backlinks, only about 60, and it is not a contextual backlinks from an authoritative website.

The biggest advantage is that the age of the domain name is about 18 years; at the same time, the search volume of brand terms is about 600, through Ahrefs.
For this expired domain name, is it worth buying and using it on my niche website?

If you have any spare cash, then go for it; else, I don't see it as a prestigious domain that would make me spend my hundreds of dollars
My target niche market is moderately competitive.
The price of this expired domain name is around US$100, is it worth it?

If you want to start a new blog using this domain, then go for it. But if you are planning to redirect it to your money site, then don't. It won't make any significant difference.

Yes. will be build a new site base on the expired domain name.

Unless the backlinks are 100% related to your content, I wouldn't bother with it. Not that authoritative.

I don't agree with the negative comments on this thread, honestly. I mean, the domain has traffic, and ranks for 112 keywords, and it also has good backlinks to RD ratio, so it's fucking worth the $100 as a PBN domain if nothing more. Although, it's worth as a standalone website, too.

Dude, if you won't miss the $100 buy it! You can use those stats for many things

Never think buying a worth domain is an expense, because as per me it's an investment. I do buy .com, .co domains nowadays, even its a new domain.

If your target niche is competitive go for it, besides it won't be difficult to start new blog on that website

as other members suggested, grab it if you have budget. nothing to lose about that.

imo, expired domains tend to get indexed and ranking faster.

i've been in this game before panda and still doing now.o_O

Thank you very much for all kind help

As you said the domain's age is a big advantage. If I were you I would buy it - if you want to invest that money.
