Is purchasing shout outs from big IGers in my niche a good investment? Right now, I'm using a bot to follow and like, but my follower count is going up very slow (around 50-90) a day.

How many people are you following in order to get 50-90 followers/day?

I would concentrate more on your technique of gaining followers, rather than spending on shoutouts..

From personal experiences, i follow a lot of big names in the niche i am interested in, people who have upwards of 100K real followers (usually they are 500-2m range). Very often they give shout outs, mostly to people who give them free shit, and more often than not i will click the link and checkout the other person's profile. I am sure many other do this too. However wether i follow them or not depends on what kind of content they have and how much it interests me.

I also feel that with Instagram people are much more willing to follow a lot more people than they would do on Twitter or FB. Instagram is only pictures with no external links, so a user can spend an hour looking at pics on his or her cellphone without being distracted by an outbound link.. With FB and Twit there's text-pictoral-video content all vying for eyeballs and if you follow too many others, your timeline can get very cluttered. No such problems in Instagram i feel. Just my two cents as a user.

Shoutouts don't always work, depends on the niche.

Personally, I only got around 20-30 followers from a $25 shoutout with 225k account!

4480 and got to around 4510?

It depends on your niche, the creativity and level of interesting shit on your account. That's a shitty amount of followers to gain from a shoutout of an account that large. The account was perhaps full of fake followers and likes, to give the idea that it is a legitimate big account.

Just some factors.

To be fair the account got like 7-10k likes per video.
You sure those aren't fake followers? Was the account even in your niche?
They were legit, not in my niche though... although my niche is quite general, it's my brands' IG.
I'm not an expert, but it sounds quite low. Did the account you got shoutout from had a good amount of likes per picture?
Yeah, around 7-10k per post.

Yeah, around 7-10k per post.

If you'd PM me that account's name, I can let you know if it's fake or half-fake or real. Up to you.

That's just kind of hard to believe that you had such a low follower intake. But.. I guess you DO take that risk once you buy shoutouts.

i have high quality posts of the niche and i follow from the biggest pages of the same niche around 1k followers everyday and i get around 300 follow back, try this and let me know the result

I personally think that it's a good investment. Just look at the account and see if the account is posting tons of shoutouts a day, if so then there followers probably won't follow you. But, overall, I think yes.

I sell shout outs via instagram on very large accounts and I can tell you it COMPLETELY depends on the relatability of your niche and the quality of your content to the account that is posting the shoutout. You can get a high number of followers if the quality is great and it is s related niche, but if it's neither of those you will barely see results at all, no matter how big the account.

if you can make good money throughs shout outs only then invest.

I would do research with iconosquare.. target particular hashtags in your niche, open new tabs for pictures with 200+ likes and look for accounts that post an e-mail at the top of their page and have over 50k followers. These are the guys you want shouting your accounts.

Probably not your best bet. Unless it looks like a true, believable endorsement I wouldn't bother.
