Still works, but you only get generic sites to link back to you. And low DR <15. These would be the kinds of sites that people setup initially and then let die over time. This is why when I try to outreach, I can't use this method anymore. Instead I have to target sites with active social media profiles, real numbers, real organizations etc. It's much harder, but the sites tend to stay alive longer.

but it still work for low DR webites ? i wanna start with this method atleast to raise my DR to 20 for example than i keep working on content improvment . the goal from this is only to get more backlinks and raise my authority, at first my dr was 2 and now it's 8 with the content only and i wanna get it more higher to compete on medium defficulty keywords .

I can't say anything else about your niche nor your keyword difficult metrics until you try to rank for the new keywords. Look up SEO avalanche method and try it from that angle at the same time.
