Shopify Method Review

The Shopify method took one thing to its advantage, getting ppl to sign up for affiliate links out, or ask the op how he did it and he'd pour out affiliate sign up links. The method only worked because ppl were fooled into thinking the items they were getting were worth more than the $10 shipping charge.

It's all about being shrewd. eBay has cheaper items, build something from those parts, slap a 2.5x price tag on it, and then give a discount, etc. There is nothing else to it, period.

Thank you very much for your reply mate, really appreciated! Yeah its all about hard work, I always think myself a dumb head when reading here and there, because all I can see is success, easy to do, rinse and repeat etc, but its just not easy for me when you do sth, everything need you hard working and prepare to face a lot of struggles.

I also read some shopify methods in this forum, its really not easy for a non native US/UK guy to do this, and consider I am from China, I know this method though profitable, just not easy, all the fees and potential money danger along the way, plus the goods returns, all headaches, all of these scared me to try especially when I got a very very small budget, I dont want to burn my money anyway.

But have to say, dropshipping is a good method indeed, many people done it well (at least what we heard as you say lol), so always curious to see any informative pieces people say, like you.

So bulk buy the goods first and dropship is indeed a good way, but apparently its not fit my situation haha, so I will keep watch these things, till one day, may find a solution?

I honestly don't think doing this model is hard.
Just takes lots of money and testing.

Finding the products is one of the most difficult things. And getting a good video for it. But after that, it's usually not as much work

It's not that the method is difficult, a chimpansee can understand it, it's about AE dropshipping is getting saturated fast and not newbie friendly anymore.

There's still lots of money to be made. But ya it's noob friendly. You can't go in with the expectation that within 1 week after launching 1 adset for $5 a day you will be making money. Reality is, you will have to burn through hundreds and will take a few weeks to a few months to start marking good money

100 isn't much. But probably not worth it. I didn't pay for it. Someone else paid for exchange for sig space and they got a good deal lol.

You can rent out sig space and easy get your money back. But I am making money through shopify

You are over blowing it. There are many succesful dropship stores. The problem is that you can't just sell anything to any audience and expect it to do well. People dont care if it takes several weeks to get to them because they are actually interested in the product and don't mind waiting. OPs store sucks...its a great example of how newbies dont know what they are doing. Jewelry is the most competetive niche to get into because there is no true audience. If there is no real audience besides "women"...thats when you need to become the new Pandora (meaning relying on branding to sell your products).

You can offer support. Reply to customer service emails. If a customer is not satisfied, they can return the product and their expense and get a refund. I generally only refund if the item didnt get to them. My refund rate is very low.

Those Chinese factories are lucky that I don't speak Chinese because I would have haggled the shit out of them to get the best prices and so should you, be aggressive, get the best price and sell the items through eBay, Craigslist, Amazon.

I am not overblowing it I am realistic and if you read it all the right way you would understand I didn't say nobody is making money with it, I said it's getting harder and harder especially for beginners because AE is getting more known by people everyday.

I sold for a while android boxes for a nice price till smugs started leaving replies with that people can buy it cheaper on AE.

And again, willing to wait for a product depends on where you live, mostly Americans and Russians don't mind but in my country people don't like waiting.

EBay and Amazon have been trying for years to set foot here and still they can't pull it off.

We are traders by nation and we want the stuff quick! And those that want to wait are unfortunately too smart and know about AE.

But lucky for me they don't know shit about wholesale in China.

billy_hatts , really I was about to try drop shipping since there are a lot of success stories! but when you said real stuff about it I'm a bit afraid to burn all my "small budget" without getting even sales

Well, you don't have to listen to me of course lol, you are free to try anything.

Are there success stories? Sure but there are more people that failed because they went in unprepared or thinking to make it big quickly, even the successful shops, most of them that started out didn't have success straight on. Sure, every now and then you could be lucky to find a niche that isn't saturated already.

Also keep in mind, that some success stories are made up to lure you into something, internet marketing can be a dirty game lol.

I am not telling anyone not to try it, I just want new people to keep certain things in mind, a lot of people like others to see fail or don't care but I'm not like that.

If you got a small budget (what is small?) I don't recommend starting with dropshipping. PayPal will freeze your assets 21 days for 60 days so you will need to front every order.

Also you need to spend money for marketing, you need to have a sharp eye and feeling for design and marketing tactics. I would start with something else but that is just my opinion.

NP man, I almost started with AE dropshipping also, already have a badass logo, I got the domain and subscribed shopify for an month to check it out and came to the conclusion that at this moment this wasn't the right path for me.

I was actually kinda pissed off because I had no clue what else to do, I've been only learning about Internet Marketing for about 4 months, I'm in my 30's and there are so many options, abbreviations, tactics etc. it's hard to find your way at the start when you like me are alone in everything but 2 days ago a idea popped in my mind which I think can work great if I put the proper hours and effort into it, so I am following my heart.

So yeah man, keep reading, keep learning and keep researching and at one point you will just need to take the leap of faith and give it your all, if you fail, be pissed off about it for a while and continue

Yeah, get goods at a good price is not a problem for a mainland people, the real question is if you wanna sell aboard, with 0 experience I have no idea how many obstacles I will face, fairly assumeably a ton, so have an e-commerce website is always delay to now.

I think you are overblowing it though. Those comments can be erased 1 second after they are posted if you managed your Facebook page right with an auto deleter. This is an example of not knowing what you are doing. The key is to know what you are doing. And, dont know where you are from, but most dropshippers target to Americans and scale out internationally after they are a hit. 2 weeks is not a lot of time to wait if you like something.
