My budget right now is $5/ ad set. The ad sets are all wc set to purchase. I do about 3 ad sets per product. Feels like I am always getting sales by chance and never anything consistent like I read or hear about from other sellers.

Oberlo is a great resource to learn to dropship. Signup for their newsletter. You do not have to sign up for their service and pay, but the info provided is great for learning.

My ad set budget primarily depends on the product type and the target audience.

If the product is unique and the target audience is HUGE, I prefer going for $10 a day per ad set, running 2-3 ad sets.

Whats important is, if I dont get any sale for say 2-3 days, I kill the ads and start with a different targeting options.

Overall, $5/day/adset is good. But you got to make sure that your targeting is good enough. To get tour targeting better, do a lot of research on your niche, A HELL LOT!

See what all things your audience can or may be interested in similar to your product type. Keep adding that to your ad which will filter your audience enough to get to the real passionate people in your niche.

Its your targeting that matters the most and if that is done right, $5/day/ad set is enough to test. On the other hand if the targeting is not that bang on, even spending $25-$50/day/adset isnt going to help.

Spy on your top 3-5 competitors and try to see where are they generating their traffic from. Analyse and see what you are missing on.

Can you expand on what you mean spy on the competitors? How do I see what they're targeting on facebook?

This sounds awesome! I’ve started a store recently as well although initially i did manage to get a lot of sales, there were some days I didn’t get any sales at all. Overall I’ve had 13 sales over two weeks with FB ads although I’m still not making any profits as all of my profits are spent on 5£ or 10£ ads. Any help from you guys would be great! Thanks!

It’s probably the traffic. Try the FB Audience insights. You just need to figure out your Audience first. Try testing it with diffirent type of audiences. Make sure tht u include Engaged shoppers in interests and always exclue people who like Aliexpress and Dropshipping

Great to hear! Good part is that you are able to manage and get some sales. That is how it started for me too.

Now to figure out why it is not consistent, I would suggest you try out different ad creatives + different set of audiences.

Run 2-3 ad sets more for the same product may be but this time target with a different angle. Let your current ad run as it is.

I am sure you will find success.

There could be numerous reasons to this. The only way to get a definite solution is to test, test and test.

Reason could be your store - eg: the way it looks, social proof etc. It could also be the type of products. Could be the niche. It could also be your targeting or your ad creative.

Out of experience, What I can tell you is that chances are that it is either your product or your targeting/ad creative. When talking about products, its not just the type of product but also its price. Make sure you have priced it right and not keeping way too much of margin. If you find out that this could be a reason, Try to first get some sales and warm up your pixel before you think of high margins.

If everything is fine, You might want to check on your checkout page too and make sure that it is all good there and that there is no gliche or something.

Have you ever thought of Pinterest as a marketing channel? Not really sure what you're selling but this might be an idea for you. Otherwise try Instagram.
 
Hello, my niche is art, most of my clients are from etsy, i get a lot of traffic and sales are about 20 per month, do you suggest to promote my etsy store to facebook?
