Congrats! mate this what you get when you are part of this community!
and there is nothing will stop you when you believe in yourself .

thanks for share .. keep it up .. there a lot of money to be made indeed ..

Question, are you using a boilerplate theme for all of the sites or are you choosing a custom theme? Also, do you just take content/photos from their current website and put it on the one you made before showing it to them? Nice outside the box method you have there. :)

Local business rocks!!...Well done OP!..how u reach ur client? By calling them one by one? There's a hard part to meet, talk and tell them to use our service...btw scale up OP!

Nice job. Congratulations, what about the hosting, u hook them up in shared hosting?

Nice one dude. I've been thinking about building websites for local business owners too.

Few questions:

Do you keep updating the websites for the clients or do they do it themselves? (when they want any medium sized updates)
Do you manage the hosting of these websites?

Cheers

Hi! I've thought about this too as I find many crappy sites in my hometown.
Just some questions:

Do you buy wordpress own wordpress themes and customize them to their needs, or do you code them all?
In that case, if you buy wordpress themes: does it work well?

Do you update the website for them for a specific amount of money/month or something?
Because I thought of this idea and that would make some more cash in month.

Thanks, looking for your reply.

Well done OP, that's way over 60% conversion rate. That is crazy even though you are meeting the business owners in person.
One quick question, do you first cold call (or email/mail) and leave an appointment or you go straight through their door and pitch them?

Don't forget to get a recurring fee for maintenance and hosting. This will float your business for a long time.

Awesome job OP. Keep it up. I've done about the same with a ton of local businesses here. Except I have them buy the domain and hosting through my aff links..

Well done. What kind of businesses are you targetting? Just any small biz with websites?

Congrats, sounds really like you have done some propepr research and spend time and money into your business. Not many take the approach to contact businesses by phone or in person to sell their stuff.

You're doing a fair bit of work before getting any payment. I'm not knocking you, it's a model that works for some people. But for the risk you're taking, I'd try to maximize the return with a few upsells for the clients that do sign.

I would offer hosting so you can reap the rewards of monthly passive income. Segment your customers. For the people that are really cheap and won't spend much, get a reseller package that includes end user support for your customers ? whenever they need help with something, the support tickets are automatically directed to your host. You don't want to spend too much time with these cheap asses.

Then offer a second hosting package at a premium price. For this, you will handle all their support inquires. Include some premium features to entice them. Encourage them to contact you for anything ? you want to stay in as much contact as possible with them because they are the ones willing to spend money (they bought your upgraded package after all)

Whenever they contact you, you can let them know of the latest monthly package you have rolled out. Sell them:

Autoresponders
Number tracking for their marketing campaigns
Newsletter and mailing list services for their customer base
SEO packages
CRM

You can even roll out monthly serviced based on free plugins you can download for their wordpress site. For example, there are appointment and reservation plugins. You can sell these as upgrades once you explain the convenience it offers their customers, allowing book right on their website.

Once someone made an initial purchase from you, it's much easier to get them to purchase from you a second, third, forth time.

nice income there. so most of the sites will look same since u r using smilar mockup

Nice to see a success story, and a nice twist to take the risk out of their investment since they see the site first.

Exactly, I was going to make a comment on this, I scrolled down on all the comments no one even realized that there was a mistake.
Its 500$ on average bro..

$500 is quite low to be honest, even if they're maybe 5 page websites. Are you doing everything by yourself? How much of 15k is net profit?
No doubt this method works if it's tergeted to wealthy clients with shitty websites.
