so i get this pm from a guy, a guy who last enquired about my service 2 years ago
never heard back from him.........til today

Dear bro:
long time I was planning to buy your service 2013. But I couldn't afford it. Finally, I think that I
can afford your service in 1st week of next month. The problem here is that my country is not listed on paypal.
A friend of mine will pay on behalf of me from USA. Is that OK? He will pay in USD... Your price is given in EURO.
So how much he should pay? How would you know that he is paying on behalf of me? And , if possible, please
allow me small discount by considering me a newbie and a member of a 3rd world country

so let me get this right , u last asked about my service back in 2013 and never got back in touch,
now 2 yrs later your asking me to take random money from some1 i dont no on your behalf
and give u a discount because your from a 3rd world country,

so you dont want to pay what everyone else does, but u want the full service based on nothing
more than being from a third world country , i dont give discounts based on where people are from
i give discounts for users who buy multiple services.....

maybe this doesnt matter but i work 7hrs a day, 7 days a week, 49 weeks a year for my subscribers
for 1 fee, with respect im worth that fee twice a year, the only reason i dont charge a monthly/yearly fee
is because everyone else does it to cash cow there service subscribers.

put yourself in my shoes, imagine you provide a service on bhw, the only 1 to charge a 1 time fee
for a service that runs all year round, no repeat fees, i come to you, ask u to take money from a mate
of mine on my behalf, give me the product but give me a discount because im in a small kitchen.

i work hard for my subs, i charge1 fee all in for a product delivered all year round
i do discounts for multiple buys, i dont do monthly subs as that is cash cowing the buyer
and i def dont take payments for a bhw member whos payment comes from a friend...
to harsh.... whats next a discount because my kitchen is bigger than yours..........

its been said many times by vips here i dont charge enough, my worth, thats because its
about offering value for money, but hell if i work nuts and bananas, rant over.

I find it annoying when people that already have internet access and are in the IM field whine about being from a 3rd world country and use that as an excuse for being broke.

agreed STK, ive had 12 years in my field, all self tought , been around biggest sites in
my field, been mod/admins on a few big sites all through working on my own, i dont use
circumstance to gain favor or play the injured animal, you work hard, do the time
apply the method and work it, where you come from has nothing to do with being
good in your field and making money from it. your either good or u suck.
but dont use your circumstance to try and lower another persons worth
it wont end well

May be, my friend, you've broken his poor heart! You'll meet a lot of prospects like this one in the long run, and I humbly advice you to be a little more warmer than that to them. Or make another lower-rate service group (ofc which will not be of less quality by your already high standards) just to suit those guys -- would do a lot of good to everyone. You'd get a whole big market from the 3rd world in the process! Your horizons would grow too.


As I am from a third world country, the conversion from say INR to US$ or GBP becomes too unaffordable although the overall quality of the service (your service for example) is a need of the moment. Even say a GBP 100 become 100 times (multiplied by) approximately 100 (the conversion rate at present), and it goes beyond the means of a prospect however he wants your great service... I am almost sure that when he asked for that little discount, he didn't mean to emotionally blackmail you in giving that discount . He was just stating his difficulty due to some underlying facts... Create another good (for everyone concerned) sub-group of service, and I am sure that it will be a greatly profitable (sub-) product for you in the long run!

P.S.;

May be, keep this subgroup available for only some countries, and you may offer less number of features and also give limited amount of customer care service (say 4 or 6 times instead of 12 annually). May be, you vasn highlight the fact that though the CC service is limited, the qulity will still remain 100% top quality!

Put that in highly professional but also very likeable marketing terms and you will attract loads of prospects from those countries, who might already know what HiQ services you offer to the top countries in the world, and to the top Asian IM'ers who can easily afford those current rates, and thus they need your services desperately to be among the online successes like your other esteemed clients, but may not have that kind of money in hand for whatever reasons...

Please consider this as an opinion from the heart of a friend who wants you to prosper more, and who also wants the people from the "3rd-world countries" to be able to avail or afford those HiQ services... Wouldn't that be a greatly prudent marketing strategy?

subs upto 50GBP that what 70-80$ if they buy multiple products ide call that nice
but not for buying 1. as i said 1 charge 1 fee all in for all year round service
i dont spueeze users with a monthly sub, i live in the uk where bills are high.
many vips ive come across have said what i charge once, for unlimited use
is way to cheap and should be yearly...i think im cheap enough without working
for peanuts....u act as if i dont care, all my users would disagree

im already running 6 products at 7hrs a day, i dont really have time to

They have the same options as everyone else in this world... they most probably earn in USD and if they don't, they are doing something wrong.
At any way it is like this: if you can't afford, you can't buy it - simple isn't it?
The only difference is that a lot of people from 3rd world countries think that they are entitled something cheaper for the single fact that they are living in a 3rd world country. Its a wrong mindset.
Usually people from 3rd world countries could be charged even more than others because their cost of living is WAY lower than for everyone else.

Before the hate starts: I live in a 3rd world country - I would never even think about asking for a discount.

I live in a third word country and never did I play the victim card. I use scrapebox, payed for at the same price everybody does, I use SENuke and pay monthly like everybody else.

I have Amazon sites though, where I do not receive my money simply because the postal services here are not dependable and you end up with checks never reaching you. So I self fund the infrastructure for my Amazon sale up to the point where it makes it worth my while to make a plan to collect the check via courier etc. I also do other stuff online to supplement my income.

But never once did I play the I am from a 3rd world country card. I would gladly use a barter system if I could on services where I pay for goods or services with an Amazon Gift Card or use a barter mechanism, that will solve my personal not getting my Amazon payments. But I did not attempt this way of payment as I know Cash is king and if somebody offers me any other type of payment, other than cash I would start questioning the motives behind such a transaction.

So I did not try to offer this as payment etc, but rather pay in cash, this is the way the world works (I think), but if people are open to accept Amazon Gift Cards, let the third world know. You might make a lot of money and get a lot of stuff you never thought you wanted or you might get scammed out of your mind.

In short.
Cash is king and I think it is not unreasonable to request the right amount of cash, based on the quality of service you offer.
