Hello, is there anyone who use/used Shinjiru? Currently i have their basic VPS, im using for movie streaming niche and with just Wordress installation and about 50 posts its ridiculously slow, the page doesnt load under 5 sec. I dont know if its just me.

Also, could someone recommend some good offshore hosting provider?
Thanks

I have used Knownsrv for more than 1 year and they are very good.

it can be your WordPress issue, maybe you need to optimize your WP site, or you can find many good offshore vps provider from BHW marketplace with good offers and reviews.

I am using Shinjiru, their support is very fast. However i don't like the fact that i have to pay 10$ + for extra WhoIs Protection.
As for Speed : I am not having any problem. My website loads in a couple ms.

Check your website with a couple of "speed testing tools"

Thank you, do you use caching? I started to use it and it loads very fast but when i open more pages it starts to slow down and the cpu stats show that it exceeds the limit more than 2 times. Thanks For info.

As I can remember, this hosting provider's servers are Asia-based (e.g. China). This is the case with most alike services, cause internet in these countries is still slow and there is great latency with EU/USA.
I don't know about nature of your website but likely you can find NL or Romania or Moldova or Russia-based hosting, it'll be fast still "off-shore".

P.S. I found out it is Malasia-based. Don't wanna insult malaysian members of BHW, but this country is the worst to host. It's got Piradius Net datacenter which is resold by most hosters offering MY servers. It used to have insane latency with all locations, for me it is around 400ms. This Shinjiru website takes a while to load for me.

It's Malaysia based but as I see they are offering EU country's locations as well, If I choose Netherlands location, why will it be still slow for European visitors??

If you choose NL server it should be fast for EU users (unless their servers are shit or over-sold). I was talking only about their company website being super-slow (for me at least) and it's hosted in MY. Honestly whenever I see a webhosting company website being slow it doesn't inspire me to use their service.

Shinjiru is classified offshore because they provider hosting in many relaxed countries but this doesn't mean they will not comply on complaints. It's a big company with a huge profit, they will want to maintain so they won't take a bullet for you. Important to remember this.
Best bet if you want to host questionable content is a medium-small hosting provider who doesn't have this amount of success.

And I see alot of discussions about latency here so I might aswell provide my own experience and knowledge as input.
If you host a server in Asia, it WILL be of high latency for EU and even so for US. This is where Cloudflare comes into practice to reduce this. But make sure to check how you access Cloudflare, it's a US based company so any request for information about your movie site will be easily accessible with a valid order (unlike cross border assistance in Asia).
Asia doesn't have Copyright act as a standard so hosting a movie site there is almost trivial.
On top of that, Malaysia and China are both notorious for not complying on overseas requests for information.

Still, it's up to your provider to protect you. And if they do, information about you is still accessible through the ISP, if they choose to comply to anything (which is not a liability if the request comes from another country). Anyway, now I'm getting too off topic
