Shafted by Hostgator

I can advice who not to use - iPage. The problems never end and the customer support is second to all.
Seems like you need a VPS anyways so why not stick with HG and avoid the nameserver hassle? Especially if you have so many domains.

I don't suggest you use Godaddy. If you have hosting + domain with them, they will disable your HOSTING ACCOUNT AND DOMAIN. Then, they request $199 activation fee.

Google "Godaddy $199" "Godaddy scam", etc.

what hostgator plan were you using? and how many exactly domain you were hosting?

Too many wordpress blogs basically. hogging rersources.

of course you will take too much resources, and hosting company will do the same action for shared plans.

get VPS or dedicated plan.

If i was you i'd look into getting a cheap vps, you'll never have much problems providing you find a good provider.

You can actually get cheap and reliable VPS or Dedicated servers at
Code:
webhostingtalk.com

Choose those providers who got many positive reviews.

I have a VPS on Go Daddy and have not had the best experience with them. I would suggest going somewhere else. I will be as soon as my 1 year plan is up.

Did HostGator give you any kind of warning? I'm trying to do something similar...

How many wordpress blogs did you have going?

Was looking at Hostgator earlier today for hosting, I also looked at HostBig but not sure which to go for.

Open a dispute and get your money back you paid for that godaddy hosting .. It's crap.

I've had a good experience using HostGator.

However, there is no way I'd host with GoDaddy...that's like putting all your eggs in one basket.

I started getting high traffic on about 8 of my hosted sites with hostgator and I got worried that there would be a problem. I ended up getting Reseller account basic and I make enough to break even on the hosting by hosting and all my projects run on the side. Its a nice little setup.
