I have to use GoDaddy some for a client's site, and really I just don't find it user-friendly. There are ads all over the place in there, which makes me think they care about the money more than you.
However, my client, of course, is not hosting any blackhat sites and I don't ever need to contact tech support because it's simple work, so I can't rate them there.
All of my sites are on JustHost, where it uses a clean cPanel with some ads, but most of them are meant to help you out (free AdWords, Facebook, other ad credits, etc.), though I'm sure they get aff comish just like us.
Anyway, tech support has always been friendly and helpful, such as one time when I traded long correspondence with one tech rep asking why I randomly couldn't connect to my MySQL suddenly after a year. It ended up being an error on my part, so I got my code fixed and he fixed some stuff on the backend for me. So great support there.
Plus there's that JustHost "exploit" on here...
Edit: vvv to the guy below me........there is a thanks button. But you're welcome!
