I felt I was shadowbanned at some point, however looking back at it the problem was my posts. I was getting worse in quality without realizing it.

Then the idea of a "shadowban" comes along. This only screws you over more because you think there's nothing you can do. Adding this in with the stress of seeing every post FLOP it becomes heartbreaking to the point of wanting to give up.

Really there is a solution, just work really hard to post better quality stuff and watch what happens. I always think when looking for something to post "Post something that is UNDENIABLE"

it took one picture to hit the explore page to get out of that weird funk... engagement for me now is better than ever I'm having a consistent 10% engagement rate. I feel this is due to continually posting undeniable stuff even in the lows.

What's really tragic is even if you're not shadowbanned, If you think you're shadowbanned, you're shadowbanned. For me it was best to forget this idea and continue posting quality. The number one thing is really to stay CONSISTENT. So stay consistent with quality, fuck a shadowban and watch things turn around.

Yep. Shadow ban is overblown. Hashtag discovery is irrelevant.

Reach-ability is where it is at. And given with good content, you can over-come throttled reach.

What do you mean by Reachability? Having your post organically discovered through shares, likes, comments?

You make shadowban sound meta as fuck

Really it's a nocebo.. you think you might be shadowbanned when it does you no good thinking that. You think your account is DONE and it takes away your focus on what will actually help you, that is spending time focusing on quality

I think everyone should be aware of this and not take the shadowban bait. I almost did and that would've been a mistake. Do the best you can to produce better quality images and things will get better 100%

Well, that's because as a newb is really easy to blame it on something else that admitting that you don't really know what your'e doing and that it might be your fault for any number of reasons. I am not talking about you OP specifically, I am only saying why this shadowban crazy started in the first place.
