Please recommend good software for proxy server. i need for mass planner, multiple ip. thanks

Thanks for the link, checking it now.

From what I understand I can use Squid software or Even setup on IIS... https://www.iis.net/learn/extensions/configuring-application-request-routing-arr/creating-a-forward-proxy-using-application-request-routing

Just a word of caution: You better know what you're doing & properly secure it, or you'll end up on one of the many open proxy lists. You don't want to share your bandwidth with the world.

It does have a password in place.. and only someone really stupid will divulge the IP and the password both to the world.. I don't think that is likely.. unless one were an absolute moron..In which case they would probably deserve to have their bandwidth used by others.. :D

You do realize that a simple port scan will find a proxy server, right? .. and that people devote their working hours to finding such things. It's not like you need to publicize it. If it's there, it will be found. If someone doesn't understand that, they probably need to get off the internet.

I dont understand that :-/ What is a port scan ?
So you can find anyone's proxies ? Can you find Zuckerberg's proxies ? :-/ This is quite technical but if it were possible i would feel this is a serious security flaw.. I dont think it would be that easy..

You can find any proxy with a port scan - a port scan just runs through an IP Range and checks for common proxy ports to be open, and a service to be running on those ports.

I'm sure you could find Zuckerbergs proxies, yes, but more than likely they would be configured with a password. Which is what you should do, if you run your own proxy.

That is precisely what i said as can be seen in my own post which I am quoting above !!
Use a password ! So if we use a password then what @Trolling4Dollars said would not be possible, right ? I mean it would be secure ?

You would still find the proxy, it would just show as requiring authentication.

Also "secure" is a very relative, and fickle concept. I hesitate to refer to anything as "secure".

Seriously?
Nothing is secure.
The f*cking NSA was hacked for godsakes. If someone wants to use your proxy, they'll use it.
The NSA actually has really shitty security, as most government agencies do.

The funny thing about the cyber security world is, "a good offense, is the best defense" does not apply, like it does in essentially every other offensive/defensive aspect.
