Setting up featured post wordpress

Wordpress noob here

I want to create a featured post in the prolific theme so that it slides in nicely on the homepage.

Anyone have a idea? As i don't have a clue

Hey! I can help you. If you want to do it yourself, there are two plugins available. One is smooth slider and another is WP featured content slider. Both are wp plugins, just add and use it. If you want to blend with your theme or customize featured slider with your theme, then let me know your theme name, i will tell you. First you can try these plugins.

I am using the prolifix theme on this project, and ill grab me some plugins and see what it does.
