"Set and forget" Businesses ?

Become a huge movie or TV star
Have a great contract that covers residuals, merchandise, and royalties in perpetuity
Star in a few huge films that become cultural center pieces, like The Passion Of The Christ or The Godfather

Stop acting and collect residuals

I guess that everybody takes it the wrong way when people said "set n forget" business. Of course it doesn't mean 100% forget it". It means almost no need to invest alot of time.

Besides, if you have set a working profitable business, why in the world you need to forget it?

Anyway, my suggestion is :

RENT A LAND AND PLANT SOME MANGOES OR OTHER FRUITS.

In two or three years you hire someone to harvest them and sell them to store.

Actually as a person who have academic background and experience working in agriculture/horticulture, to get a good results, the trees demand more attention than we thought. Fertilizer, weather, weeds, bugs, human resources and so on.

That's one of my reason I am doing "digital farming" more than real farming now >.<

cashback / coupon website. Just run Facebook ads, everybody loves coupons and cash back

Nope. There is no such thing. I posted the same quite recently https://www.blackhatworld.com/posts/13684281/

What you *can* do is invest your money into an index fund and make 10-12% per year, so if you've got $5mil to invest, you can make about $500mil/year. Before taxes of course.

$500mil/year?

10% of $5mil is $500,000
12% of $5mil is $600,000

Do you mean $500,000 to $600,000 profit can be made per year before taxes?

Takes some up front work, but create and list courses on Udemy/Skillshare etc. Courses I made in 2012 still sell today as good as they did back then. I do basically zero work on them other than create a promo email twice a month to get some additional sales, takes me maybe 1 hour/month. Of course you need something worth teaching, and to be fair its much harder to get traction these days. But, it's an option.

I bought land lots in Philly. My company bought one for 500 in a crappy area. Crappy area discovered by suburban white boys & girls with urban dreams. Sold the land lot for 27k. Only manual thing I had to do annually was write a check for taxes.
