Serving Adsense through Google Ad Manager (DFP)

Do you have to setup each Ad Company separately and they give you a code to add to DFP or is there another way to link these companies through DFP interface?

If your doing it by yourself yes...Thats why they are ad companies and now ad management companies that do this for publishers. They submit your domain name for whitelisting to various ad exchanges/ad networks and then they set up the stack for you. That is why we all have ads.txt files if you ever look at the ads.txt files of medium to large site u will see an array of different ad providers listed as allowed to run campaigns on that particular publisher website.

Any ad network or ad management company worth its while in 2019 is using multiple ad providers stack for their publishers...So once again if you had 60,000-100,000 uniques/sessions per month you can apply for a company that does this for you and it will be less daunting

The point of Ad server (dfp/ad manager) is to run multiple ad networks.

If you’re going to run just AdSense you will see no difference most probably, but if you mix it up with the other ad networks you may see a spike in revenue.

Hi mate , when u use adsence with dfp u will be charged with some amount. And best use of dfp with adsence is u can set time factor to refresh the ads in single page view

DFP is free

Adsense works well for me, just crossed the $4000 mark this month. I tried Ezoic but could not match what I am making with Adsense directly. That is why I need to double this with advanced platforms like DFP.
wow this is just from one site or many ? or also from youtube?

Who is your OP? do they setup everything on your site plus dfp?
I have checked they work with my company. They work on dfp and other ads networks. When I asked them the same question they said it will be charged better to go with adsence only

Anyone moved from Adsense to Google ad manager and saw decrease in revenue by serving only adsense ads?

Ad manager is not an ad network is a tool to help you serve your ads.
If you see a decrease that could be related to your setup.

Thanx for the quick reply.
I guess there is nothing to be afraid of.
I saw a lot of guides in a google search.
So the next step is just to take the decision!

You can boost your revenue with GAM and Adsense if you do it right. With CPM prices in GAM you can do similar stuff like with the ad balance in Adsense but with much more control.

What you should try and a/b test:

1. Create your ad units in GAM under inventory. Make sure that "Maximize revenue of unsold and remnant inventory with AdSense" is enabled
2. Go to https://dfpgpt.appspot.com/ and create your tags. You can do that also in GAM but it's much faster with the tag generator
3. Setup your orders, line items with price priority and creatives. If you don't have any ad networks to work with, use affiliate banners or own ads as creatives
4. Under line items, set a basic CPM price. I would start low and work the way up slowly

Adsense has now to compete against your CPM price. This will increase your Adsense CPM's but also lower your fill rate. The key is to find the right balance.

I was able to double my Adsense income just by using this method and it still outperforms Header Bidding with 3 demand partners. And with some luck, you will make some extra bucks from the affiliate banners.

It's not an easy task and keep in mind that Adsense might serve you more CPM based ads. In fact, i was able to get over 80% CPM bids out of Adsense.

Is there any video guide available on youtube to learn more about this
