Just thinking it would be nice to have a Thread that allows trade-by-barter agreements so that a buyer (who must be a JR VIP with a sales thread) can pay for another service (owned by another Jr VIP) with the buyer's service (not with money).

The type of services that are allowed to be exchanged between the seller and the buyer should be stated clearly in such a Trade-by-barter BST. It should be at the sole discretion and interest of the seller to agree to do a TbB with a potential buyer.

OK, then why a dedicated thread for that ? Incase of any issues after deliveries are done ? In that case the usual BHW moderation process would be sufficient.
Example Jr.VIP ONE and Jr.VIP TWO (both with sales threads) bought each other's service worth US$30, did not pay money to one another, rather bartered. Later Jr.VIP ONE has an issue which is eligible for respective BHW moderation and it was decided in favor of Jr.VIP ONE, then Jr.VIP TWO would be asked to pay Jr.VIP TWO US$30. If both have issues eligible for BHW moderation and decision is they need to refund each other, then they need not actually technically refund each other because it was a barter.

Exactly my point. Because according to @Raj Kesu example above, it would make sense to dedicate an entire thread, just to deal with issues like that.

And of course each barter partner should do their due diligence and check for service quality. In that case, it would be their responsibility. Also I mentioned, this should be strictly based on the fact that each of the partners must have a normal sale thread that is related to their barter sale thread. The only thing is, one is money-paid. The other is barter-paid.

Yes, they need not refund each other monetarily.

Rather, the seller(s) should offer unlimited revisions of the service as DESCRIBED in their sale thread until the second party is satisfied.

Again it should be at the sole discretion of the buyer to look for a quality TbB thread before they commit to the agreement. It's their choice, not Mod's choice. But of course, mods can intervene, and TbB poor delivery may be shitlisted by seller or buyer.

The reason bartering was disallowed on the forum originally is because of the number of disputes between sellers who felt that Product A was not the same value as Product B. This resulted in complicated shit list threads, and eventually, bartering being prohibited.

Of course, things change on the forum, so the team will discuss it on Monday to see if it's worth revising that rule.
