SERP Clicks, is it effective?

Hello,
I have made a customized a bot on fiver since about 2 months
which is go to google and search for specified keywords and keep looking for a targeted site, then click and hang around the website for random times
for sure I have used a residential IPs

after 2 months of test for about 50 keywords I have didn't find any significant improvement

Any other body found that strategy working?
maybe need longer time?

If it was so easy do you think people would spend so much in buying links? Heck this forum would be filled with bots service
