Serious Journey

I've never gotten seriously into IM, but I've really started dedicating my time to it every single day. I'm currently advertising an awesome affiliate offer that's really been working for me lately -- mostly using appropriate subreddits for traffic as well as appropriate Facebook groups. My plan is mostly to advertise this offer by getting a domain with keywords in it around my niche, direct that domain to the e-mail offer, and then advertise the heck out of it. I'm really new to SEO, so I might use very scrappy methods but hey if they work they work, right?

A bit about myself? I'm a 16 year old guy from Austin, Texas really trying his hand at SEO and IM. Trying my best to achieve some semblance of financial freedom so I can buy the stuff I want whenever I want, as well as delve into business ventures and establish connections and what not.

I'll be updating this thread frequently to see how things progress and get advice and experience from other people.

Revenue for today, February 1st, 2015: $58.55 CAD.

Pretty good start for today. Hopefully I'll be able to scale it up some more. I can't ensure that this income is going to stay consistent, but it'll be more than enough to fuel my other starting ventures into some serious SEO. I'll be reading tons of articles and guides by Matthew Woodward and Mark Ling, the founder of Traffic Travis. Both are SEO gurus in the best sense, and are really good at what they do.

All around, really great guys and provide awesome, free content. Highly recommend you guys check them out. And, about my journey -- well I won't be sticking ONLY to this offer and strategy. I guess you could say this is a journey that continues until I'm somewhat satisfied with the amount of monthly income I get (specifics-wise, $4000+/month.)

Wait correct me if I'm wrong, but that revenue from today didn't actually come from this journey did it? What were your expenses for that revenue?

It did come from this journey, I actually "started" creating the website in Wordpress and what not a few days ago, and revenue just came in today, the past days it made very little / un-noticeable revenue, so I didn't include that revenue in here. Today I used traffic methods via reddit and other such websites that really boosted my traffic a bit. I'll also be creating many videos promoting my offer and such.

DAY 2: $87.76 USD


Revenue has been remaining fairly consistent, at profits totaling roughly $87.76 USD now. Hoping to get the $100 cashed out fairly quickly so I can start with other ventures, perhaps start an e-mail list, or start up some kind of a micro niche website.

Today's schedule?:

--> Promote the link I'm using some more on appropriate subreddits, create Tumblr accounts and post on relevant niche followings.
--> Listen to some webinars given by established members of the community. I'll then apply their principles and perhaps achieve some measure of success in the coming weeks/months.
--> Check out nice Clickbank products that I'll be seriously promoting sometime soon. High gravity, high measure of commissions are all things I'm looking for. I also contact the vendors and ask how the product has been doing and such. In addition to this, I ask him for a review copy so I can read it and find the quality of it.

That should be all for today, or more if I can fit in. I'll update again shortly.

My revenue is increasing even so a bit more, I'm barely reaching the $100 day scale, which is cool. I'm not really using the traditional aspects of SEO but more so using beginner noob methods which is basically spamming in niche-relevant Facebook groups and spamming relevant subreddits which attract tons of targeted traffic. Geo targeted traffic is harder though as I have to somehow narrow down to a geographic location while maintaining the interests of the users. 400 clicks on my link today which is pretty nice.
