seo wont exist in 2015........

As long as there is a searchengine there will be SEO in one form or another... Methods and Techniques might change every now and then but the core concept will be there and I'm sure it's here to stay here for a long long time...

Haha Until search engines are dead or atleast until the searches crawlers dont rely on websites analystics then maybe seo will be dead imho
 
Webmaster A tries to rank his site but his method doesn't work anymore. Then he concludes that SEO is dead. That's the problem with people who open threads like this and write "SEO is dead" articles.
 
I think SEO is more like Trading, or a cat-mouse chase.
Every day will be a difference or change in the algorithm and we'll have to find out things that work better than others that we already making, that will affect our rank and status on the G.
 
I'm still a newbie, but it seems obvious that even if Google changes the algorithms used right now SEO isn't going to die.
SEO means Search Engine Optimization. People will need to figure out the new rules of the game. As many people have aready said, unless Google starts picking by hand the ranking of the sites, SEO isn't going to die.
 
they say things like that every year, it might mean something to them.. like reducing the SEOs etc..
 
If you think seo will dissapear then you don't know what is seo mate. How they will rank pages then ?
 
It's something similar to the "OMGZ THE WORLD IS GOING TO END THIS YEAR" prophecies, right?

IANAL but I think Google would be very much at risk for an anti-trust lawsuit if they started handpicking search results.

Nah, as long as there are searches being performed on the internet, there will always be SEO. How else would you sort through the internet? SEO is just a system to help people find your website easier.

The internet is backboned with html and xhtml scripting for browser use.

so that means seo optimization here forever , might change but never die.
 
SEO will always exist, in one form or another. You need a way to automatically rank pages for a certain keyword. You can't change that.
