SEO without backlinks is not possible anymore...

I have a 1.5 year old website. Tbh it is an affiliate site.

Because I spend most time and money to buy real products and review them, so I have not built any links for my site. It is nearly zero authority.

Thanks to content being high quality and good internal links strategy, my posts ranks quite good for the past few months. Metrics such as time on page, bounce rate are all good.

However, since January, Google has stopped indexing my new posts. They are all marked as "crawled, currently not indexed" or "discovered, currently not indexed".

My old and current posts are still ranking well so I don't think there is any penalty.

Google just does not care about my new posts anymore.

Please suggest me a way to deal with this...

hi, it's a numbers game ... the more content you produce, the more you will have keywords in serp. Anyway have you tried to verify with ahref? There are users on the forum who say that the data does not match analytics.
 
To be honest, this is happening a lot to a lot of people, it’s not just you.

If you truly feel that SEO isn’t possible without backlinks, then create some. BHW is full of useful information on how tog etc backlinks very cheap and even sometimes free.

Guest posts, niche edits, etc are good for tier 1 links. Start there perhaps.

This is an ongoing issue since some time and there is no perfect solution for this.

Do you have a dedicated Video review channel?
Are you relying on organic traffic only?
Pinterest and YT are two great sources of traffic.

That's not something you should do if you expect a major part of your traffic to be organic.

SEO is not dead and you should not ignore building QUALITY links.
You have quality content that's good I assume it's also well optimized.
Depending on the niche and other factors like competition you can rank in some niches without backlinks too.

Well same happened with me. But I think it will get indexed.
 
backlinks still remain as a major ranking factor amongst others, amongst top 3 for sure. you should consider it then only relying on content
 
Everyone is facing indexing issues these days. Apart from that, you should try to build some quality backlinks as product reviews have high competition in SERPs.
 
It's a natural progression of an industry to be honest. Things will get more complicated. Competition will increase. The need to one up your rivals will go up. That's how it works.
 
If you don't want to build link then create link worthy content , there's no going around backlink.
It's the most important ranking factor, so imbrace it.

Also search bhw how people are getting their posts index.
Lastly double down, literally , create more sites.

I have the same problem and also have a low-authority high content website. It started happening in the middle of January and is very annoying.

Build 4-5 reddit and 3-4 quora links for every article that is not indexing. I also had the same issue and this method worked for me. But it took another week to get indexed
 
I come from the golden years where exact match domains would rank right away and stay dominant.
With time, anything that was pretty easy to do, even ranking on parasites like rebelmouse, google fought.

Now, even when you think that content is King, it's not anymore.

But recently, the b2b legit website I work for, stopped ranking new blog posts.

With one exception: Whenever I have new content, I mail it to our 500+ subscribers (who are actual clients) + I drive them to our linkedin post, twitter post, facebook post and website post, all driving to the same url, and it gets indexed. I also request indexing in search console, and also interlink to that post and THOSE social posts from other pages that are already indexed, and ask for recrawls as well.

If I don't do 1 step out of all these, it does not get indexed.
I did many A/B tests with this method and, that's the only way we get indexed.

Times are tough, and will get tougher.

Bro, nobody with an authority site is going to link to your site, no matter how good your content is, it is almost always shared through social media links and if you get as lucky that you get a link it is going to be a nofollow, great for diversity, maybe but for ranking not so much...

@OP, time to pull some $X.XXX out of your wallet and get some links or choose to never rank for good keywords, also when your DA (no not the MOZ kind) goes up your new posts will be indexed faster.

To make money you have to spend money, just like any other business!
 
You just buy the biggest foundation links package to your homepage that you can afford, whenever you start a website or you realize that you need backlinks.
You can even just use no or brand anchortexts
