SEO Takes time-do you agree?

I experienced this few days ago that SEO Takes time.
I hold one of my site for 1/2 Year n sold it later because it was not ranking at that time but now its ranking very good, I regret I sold the site.
So we need patience.
What's your story?

Certainly among the 200 SEO factors, one is considered to be its age.
 
it might be ranking good now because the buyer is doing better seo than you..
Besides that yes it do takes longer to rank a site now compare to couple of years back..

Nope, the buyer doesn't work with the project but still it's ranking good
 
Ouch, that must have stung. But at least you learned not to sell your sites too soon from now on? In any case, the first year or two are the hardest to go through anyway. So when you set up new sites, at least you’ll know not to get bothered by ranking for the first few months.
 
I feel is age domain name ?? since you claim 12 years, man , is quite aged .

mine still new , guess will take dam long to get at least 10k daily visit . IF I don' do much marketing , just buy SEO service , Backlinks let it naturally rank
 
In the good old days you could keyword or link the crap out of a page and the rank quickly. Now you just have to test the algo month in and month out to see how far you can push it
 
Damn right, Sometimes, You need to keep more patience for this field :) Miracle will never happen overnight.

I won't say that, I don't agree.
Instead, I'd say SEO depends on so many factors. Internal and external as well.
Suppose today i'm ranking on KW1 and no one else is there to compete me then i can hold #1 for longer time but as soon as someone arrives with better content and backbone factors than mine I'll get negative effects on the rank.
However, if you're talking about work:result ratio then i'll say it is possible to rank a KW with right tactic on #1 within 1-3 months. However, to ensure the safe and sticky rank it's the strategy that takes time. Aggressively done job in SEO is the only factor for disaster and that's why SEO TAKES TIME.

PS:- This is my own opinion. And what i've learned from my personal experience.
 
To rank high it takes certain amount of time, you need to have patience and focus more on getting quality back links. In order to get some quick traffic you can couple PPC alongside your SEO efforts (If budget is not the question)
