So I did some promotion to my site on Mon-Wed.

Prior to that Analytics showed 0 searches for my site for weeks. On Thursday, I noticed I got 10 searches for 1 KW

On Friday, I got 24 searches for 1 KW.

Today I noticed I got 52 searches for 1 KW.

Seems like got a gain? Does this happen that fast? Should I keep building links?

you should keep building links and it depends upon the quality and freshness of the content as the days will pass you will get more and more kW's searches. just make sure you keep building good links.

yes that's normal

The more you build link the more authority you gain the more you will appear on searches

I checked this morning. I got 27 searches already.

Any suggestions on best building practices?

Familiarize yourself with Scrapebox, for the start.

I have Scrapebox, AMR, SeNukeX but only used AMR so far...

I've heard too many stories of folks trying to build linkwheels/pyramids and going down in the ranking, so I'm being cautious..
