SEO Journal/Case Study

Thank you for the link dashboard, will put this to good use.
I am very curious to see how you are going to rank from this articles and web 2.0
I intend on building a bulk video submition and account creation to see the influence of that on one site I am working.
I will also do some press releace for another page to see the importance of this kind of links.
I will come back here with my results.
P.S. After I took a look at the blogs where I posted comments on I changed my mind and I will never use blog commenting for the main money site. (some of the sites from lists I bought where porn-quite a lot to be honest) AutoApprove blogs are way to spamed now and I doubght google does not see that!

I use similar seo techniques, only that I use seo link robot for web 2.0s and I blast with XRumer more than with Scrapebox.

But yeah I'd love to see where you can actually rank without doing too many backlinks to the main money site.

Man.. This seems like a solid plan... I just read so many things about link pushing after you start this thread...

But you should have got it to first page now.. What went wrong? What about your main content? are they unique?

  • Ranked: 18 - Links are getting recognized in YSE now and I have about 49~ @ DOMAIN.org. This will increase tremendously with the AMR blast.
  • AMR - Blast to money site - wrote a unique article based off of ezine article information. Rewrote it, but changed almost every word/sentence. Ideas are there, different words and high quality. Readible. Blasted and got a submission of 1244 out of which 345 Live Links were found. This should increase over the next couples days/weeks as they are approved.
  • AMR - Spun 2 articles together. Highly spun. Blasted to Tier 1 web 2.0 sites (created from MS)
  • MS - Created video and blasted to video sites (about 10). Will do another Web 2.0 blast after I write another unique article.
  • BL - Backlilnking Tier 1 web 2.0 sites... im going to only backlink them in smaller potions so that they receive alot more links / run.
  • SA - got rid of this subscription
  • Proxy Bonan - Switched my priviate proxies (20) over to shared proxies (68) for $20 a month. I was paying $45 for private.. but don't need it as of right now
  • MS - Created a bookmarking campaign. Created accounts and highly spun descriptions. Set up a schedule and have it submit 15/day to the money site by random
  • BE - Setup 10 wordpresses with BE on it and will filter through new links to this.
  • RSS - Created RSS from the web 2.0 sites and submitted htem to RSS Submit. Pinged everything

Hey Siek, I noticed in your very first post you said you were running an autoblog on the site. Can you let me know which one you were using? I have some sites currently on the bottom of page one for my main keyword(s), and right now every few days I'll manually add a couple meaningless posts to those sites, just so the get the pages quantity up. I think an autoblog would make this process much more efficient for me. I'm currently using WP Hide Post so that these posts are invisible to my website visitors, but still counts with the search engines. Were you doing something like that also? Thanks a bunch!!

The Autoblog from WPBlackhat. It cloaks + autoblogs. I'm sure you can use WProbot for your purpose. And yes I am doing the cloaking to visitors and visible to SE.

  • BE: Completed creating all the profiles for BE and took all the links that I had (through Link Dashboard) and put every single link in there. This included Web 2.0, articles, videos, social bookmarks. All 10 are successfully running posting 10 posts @ 5 links. Everyday ~ 5-10 links are posted from each BE site (I have a total of 10).
  • LD: Added many features for personal use. Will not release any more versions as its catered to me. I added a INDEXED section so that I can check whether its been indexed and make sure i'm concentrating on the backlinks that are yet to be indexed. Also, created a stats menu where I can copy and paste the entire campaigns stats. i will copy and paste this report (or try to everyday here - that is if I get to updating the indexed stats). Included BE support through a webbrowser and easy navigating so I can add links very quickly. Added a Links2RSS button so I can create feeds on the fly.
  • BL: Backlinking T1 Sites - Will switch list of links to another batch.. probably the T1 Articles now
  • RSS: Submitted about 45~ T1 RSS Feeds
  • AMR - Checked Live Links for Article Tier 1 (Article Directories pointing to Moneysite)
  • Before I put any links through the LD - I am going to make it a rule for me to put it through BE / Create an RSS feed and submit it thorugh the RSS Submit as well as Ping. This should help with indexing.
  • Tomorrow, I'll probably grab all the BE supported sites URLs and start checking which ones are indexed and which ones aren't and i'll build some backlinks to those to make sure they are indexed or at least crawled.
  • Will prepare for a SB blasts on various URL, build some profile backlinks, another web 2.0 blasts (Unique Article needs to be written), Blast to PDF/DOC sites.
  • I need to look at my money site again and readjust it. I found out that i setup my mailing list wrong and gave the user the PRODUCT before they even had to optin for the second time (my bad - rookie mistake) - I will fix this tomorrow. I will check up traffi cstats and update as well.

AMR=article marketing robot
SA=search assist
BE=Backlink energizer
MS=magisc submitter

You have 10 diffrent wp blogs hosted on diffrent ips for BE?

The way BE works is it uses sites like Typepad, Wordpress, Blogger, Posterous, etc and automatically posts to those using RSS feeds, while slipping your links in there. They post however many times you set it. Therefore, it doesn't matter about different IPs on your BE. The BE is just used as a control panel i guess. I have them as subdomains such as.....DOMAIN.com/BE/1/ etc etc and I just have them going 1-10. I have 20 folders setup, but only made accounts for 10. I don't think I need more than 10 at my level since each one gets about 100 - 150 links (right now) to post - but those links are from the entire campaign.

I really like how I organized everything too. It is alot easier to see especially making sure I don't waste time on testing my links and checking if its indexed etc etc. Time well spent

Started the setup of such a system but also wanted to include self hosted wp in there for the capability of indexing more links. This will take a while to build.
I am curently testing the influence of AMR in combination with trackbacks(SB). Will let you know how it works

  • MS - Wrote new article (unique) using a mashup for content. Rewote everyword and blasted to web 2.0 and article website. Did not spin. Only spun the titles/about me. URL linking straight to Money Site. Before putting the links into LD... i pinged...created an rss feed...submitted that to rss submit....put all the links through my BE network... and then added it into the list. Will create a new bookmarking campaign for this soon.
  • BL - Setup a schedule to build on T1 sites. Will start a new batch soon.

Maybe you should try a bit of onpage SEO here, I notice you don't have an H1 tag with your keyword in it, maybe that would help finally getting to the 1st page. Thats one piece of SEO I find helps a lot.
 
The first Journal that I read and the first comment that I post. Great work your comment help a lot, especially to descover new tools. I suggest you to redirect all the URL from your money site to just one domain, with or without the www subdomaine. You can do so by adding few line in the htaccess file, in order to keep just one. I tried to copy here the code but BHW doesn't seem to like it.


I didn't understood totally your issue (i'm not english native) so i'm not sure this is really relevent. What did you use for the Level 2 of your link wheel ? I read and read again but I didn't get it really... Anyway good luck with your experiment, I follow you :)

Oh Traffic Travis doesn't show this, but I do have H1 Tags in there. I'm thinking of making my home page dynamic though. I'm going to edit the wordpress theme and have a static message/paragraph that is what is there and then i'm going to make it update new posts so that it keeps changing.

what do you mean what did i use for level 2? Like what links to that? I used alot of stuff like web 2.0 properties, articles, guestbook links, etc.

  • BE: grabbed all the BE links and am trying to get them indexed. They need to be indexed in order for them to be useful to index my other stuff lol - I pinged/ rss feeds/ built backlinks to it.. you name it. I'll try to reedit it later
  • MS: Built several tiers - and article over the past couple days. nothing out of the ordinary.. rewrote articles and submitted them
  • AMR: Created a spun article and blasted to Tier 1 sites

Traffic / Monetization
  • Thers not much more to talk about really... just continuing to build links through different sources and creating several layers... randoming everything... I know it's working cause my traffic is increasing.. not neccesarily on my main keyword, but on several long tail keywords, i'm getting some decent traffic.. So... as of right now im getting about 75~ -Unique searches a day - which come out to be around 2250 Uniques a day and i'm not even at my main keyword yet. When i get to the top, i'm sure i'll get several hundred uniques a day probably over 10K uniques a month easily. This is my goal... to get 10K uniques a day on this domain. Take a look:

  • The days not over on today (April 2nd)... so i expect a few more. My optin rate is HORRIBLE. I got one optin today. My optin rate is something like 0.04%...quite bad i know.. but i just used a random optin and just changed the words. Its no where near talored to my market.
  • After looking at the stats.... and keyphrases used... i noticed many of them are seaching for several of my keywords + "video". I'm going to either create a squeeze page for this and target to those users. My landing page is weak and I know it is - and its now time to mess around with it.
