Great thread, some useful tips for sure. If you could spare a moment, could you give a brief explanation of the SEO Software Tools / Server config your running? You had mentioned the strategy keeps your server busy day/night, but some of the tools appear to be windows only (we run MACs in our shop), are you running a windows based VPS etc... Curious what the SEO server environment looks like, (1) server, many, dedicated IP etc. We are currently looking to deploy servers for this as well.

Well if you want to dominate the entire first page - then there are two ways to do it. You can either use several different domains to rank it aka domains that you own and rank for that specific keyword. Just for experience, i've never seen a single website dominate the entire page of a specific keyword, unless you are strictly looking for that domain. So, you may need to spread it out. Or what you can do is create several web 2.0 properties and treat them as your money site. Make sure they are unique content and that they're updated frequently (just as you would with your money site). Make sure your properties are targetting your keywords through their URL/Title/H1 Tags etc etc. - just the basic internal SEO - stuff you can control.

From there, I'd then create tiers using that specific web 2.0 property as my money site and do this across all the others. These web 2.0 properties can handle alot more heat (backlinks) then could a new domain. These web 2.0 properties are established and have authority, thus allowing them to accept more backlinks. I've done some tests where i've thrown AMR/backlinker links to a web 2.0 straight - so that it had backlinks immediately after index. It disappeared for a couple days, but came back on the second page for a very non competitive keyword. The only disadvantage to web 2.0 properties is that its not yours and it can be banned at any time. Thats why its important to make sure that you keep it non spammy. I am doing this as we speak where I am building web 2.0 properties and feeding it unique content. I spread the same UNIQUE article across about 5 - 10 different properties/article directories. Some of these article directories are no follow such as goarticles, but this doesnt matter to me because it is practically acting as my property.

Create your money sites (web 2.0 peropties) then start to build your link structure for each one. Blast your SB properties only are the NON money sites and try your best to get them indexed.

Running a bunch of different software, i keep swapping and trying new ones out... taking old ones away. Finding the best combination of tools. As for the server - I am running on a dedicated server with

CPU: AMD Athlon 3600
Memory: 4 GB DDR Ram
Hard Drive 1: 250 GB SATA
Operating System: Windows Server 2008

and I believe one dedicated IP - but i use public proxies, so I never really needed it.

I've got it but some of the WPMU blogs I set up just ended up banning.

I have 10 cluster blogs. Yes, they are probably one of the best ways that i've found to get indexed. All 10 cluster blogs are getting utilized (links are being distributed out to those networks) and will be busy for probably another week or so. Then i'll load another batch in (probably about another 1 - 5K links. But, I may start another 10 cluster blogs and try to get those properties indexed too.

My kw is very uncompetitive: Currently, I control spots #5-#10. Actually, today when I created a web 2.0 page, within the hour it was ranked #9 on G.

So here are the questions I have (ty for taking your time btw)

2. Currently constructing the ~10 Tier 1 websites per 5 main sites (the Web 2.0 properties you recommended). Then plan on making ~10 Tier 2 websites per Tier 1 website and getting BE to index them. Right now, I've only finished the 10 Tier 1 website for 1 main site
a) Using TBS, I spun a 73% unique article. Do you think the spun articles will be good enough for the 10 Tier 1 Websites or should I put in another unique article?
b) I know that you migrated from SA to MS because of the subnet/ip problem you stated. I'd like to create the amount ~500 Web 2.0 properties as fast as possible (so far I have been manually submitting). Which tool would you recommend for this job?

Not too sure what MM is.. but When looking at TT - I never really look at the BLS (backlinks for the site). Yes this does show how strong the domain is, but i've seen time and time again sites much smaller ranking higher because they have better/more backlinks (BL). The top ranking is holding no backlinks whatsoever and it seems that its only there cause of the title. If you put the keyword in exact match in the search rankings (in quotes) - I can bet you anything that its top rankings on there too. This can be easily overcome with backlinks to your other websites (ranked 5 - 10) - Just build the tier system. I don't know how new the sites are, but just start getting some links and I bet you'll move up.

b) You mentioned looking into the competition's backlinks (to see if they are high PR or not). Which tool did you use to do that?

I know market samaurai can do this - but I typically just use YSE yahoo site explorer. Load their URL in and see whats there. If most of thier backlinks are spammy blog comments.. you can already tell they blasted thier site with SB. Typically those links are pretty weak

This is up to you. I personally like to mash up 2 articles together and spin them. But i've done single article spinning too. I really don't care too much for the second tier in terms of content. A link is a link. If it gets banned.. it gets banned.. i'll build more.

Any of the top programs can do the job. Senuke/magic submitter. I haven't tried the others, but i'm sure you can use the other programs. I've heard mixed things about seolink robot? I think.. I don't know the name..

First of all, the web 2.0 property that popped up in #9 will most likely disappear. But since it originally ranked at #9 - its pretty obvious the keyword is not competitive at all. Just don't be surprised that it disappears - googles just finding a place for it. Newer content usually jumps to the top and falls and gets placed. I usually start to build link to these when I can see that its settled down after indexing. But, if it does stay there, then i'll be quite surprised. The only time i've seen that is when the keyword is like no competition at all (like literally none, but thats only my opinion).

One more thing - Don't just concentrate on web 2.0 building. Throw some video in there.. social bookmarks...forum posts (use SB to find those nice juicy high PR links)...high blog comments (usually moderated, but if you write something meaningful, it'll get accepted + this way you don't have to create an account)....PR sites.. etc etc. you get my point... do it moderately.

The way I learned how to link is i went to the services section of the BST and i looked at all the diagrams that people are putting out now. If you look at them one by one, you'll notice they are ALL very similar... spun article...diversity in links....tier system. The reviews seemed good so to me it must have been working.. thus why i followed what they were doing.

Well - SenukeX has a 14 day trial you could always take advantage of or MS's $5 30 day trial. You have plently of time to build your network using any of these two tools. For social bookmarks, you could use MS/Senuke or Bookmarking demon (haven't tried personally - heard mixed).

I can't make that judgement for you, but based on your stats - i don't see it as a difficult keyword. Just start building and you'll see for yourself. RSS submit although is great for getting your rss feeds out there, I don't see it as a stronger indexer as BE. I have the resources on hand, so thats why i do it. But i'm sure you'll be fine with BE/linklicious (free).

Just get tools that can build your network. A web 2.0 creator (Senuke/MS/other) - something to backlink those - SB ..which you have i think.

Still same ranking. Change.

Also, I wanted to list something...I'm not going to say what it does, but if you look carefully, you can figure it out right away. Old trick

As per usual, thanks for the very insightful advice - I figured out your footprint and have been using it. To my surprise, YSE sees them (I didn't think it would) -- really handy trick!!

Wanted to thank you for the advice. I created Tier 1 links for a tumblr site, then about 3 batches of Tier 2 links under the Tier 1 links, articles behind those, and lastly SB and an XRumer service blast. So far, I've penetrated the #5 and pushed it down to #6 but hoping to push it down to the 2nd page. It's largely been only a week so we'll see what happens. You've inspired me to create my own SEO journal! And now, I'm looking into Backlink Energizer for indexing and AMR for article marketing (mixed reviews about deindexing..)

Also wanted to follow-up on your SEO? Any change yet in ranking?

Like the actual AA websites itself? Or the websites that are blasted using the AA? I'm sure everyone has had mixed results. I personally have started to blast a few AA to my money site. By a few, I am talking about 1000/week SUCCESSFUL ones. I just started this the other day to help me boost up some backlinks.

Haven't posted in a while.. been real busy..Anywho, this is where I sit today:

  • Currently Ranked: 9
  • As far as my placement int he SERPS, it looks like im not moving very much. I've built alot of backlinks to them and got it indexed. All very diverse and controlled blasting. There is alot of link power going towards the money site in my opinion. According to TT I have the most backlinks and according to my observations of the types of links, I would say I have matched my competitor, but still not moving. The only difference is he has a PR1 as I still sit as a PR0. Not going to complain though, I am still getting 50 uniques a day which imo is pretty good as this niche is pretty targetted. By looking at all the main keywords i'm trying to target, in general all of those keywords are getting closer and closer to the first page. I have several page 2 long tail keywords that have decent traffic.
  • Receiving Traffic on average: 50 uniques a day - Most of the traffic is from LONG TAIL KEYWORDS that are NOT my main keyword
  • Monetizing: After getting a few dozen optins for my free ebook that i'm offer, I decided to test this out on CB. I started this about 2 days ago and so far the stats are quite bad.. lol I sent around 100 uniques to a CB product that has about a 44 gravity but my keywords that are driving to this CB is the EXACT same niche. The product matches it completely and the keywords i've driving "seem" to be what they are looking for in the CB product. Anywho, I have yet to receive one sales order impression, but then again 100 uniques is not much at all either.
  • I've started several campaigns for LOCAL DOMAINS. Once you get the hang of SEO, ranking for these local domains are not as bad as it seems. I got one particular local domain that is currently ranking for number 3. As soon as I reach number 1.. you can bet i'll be making some calls or sending some emails out to local companies who want that spot. I am thinking of pricing it in the range of 100 - 200$ a month depending on the "type" of business im promoting.
  • I got a VPS that has SeNx, xrum, href, sb, and thebestspin for about $50 a month. Please don't ask me where I got it, but it wasn't on this forum. I believe thier sold out anyways - I just got lucky.. I checked their shopping cart at the right time. Anyways, because I have these, I have dropped a couple others i've been using. I just paid for my dedicated, but without all the other apps, I won't be needing it anymore. Heres a quick tip: I will drop it next month and pick up another cheap VPS for the same company. I am using the cheap VPS to open up a RDC for the VPS (with all the software). I am doing this because they log you out if you don't maintain a RDC connection for 15 min. By buying a cheap VPS, I can hold the RDC connection 24/7.
  • I've expanding my SEO business and have got many offers for SEO clients for work on thier sites through the use of FIVERR. A tip on Fiverr for finding clients is.... do a good job, but when you send them the report - make sure you include your contact information for further orders. Many people use Fiverr to find SEO people for their own needs in bulk. Lots of money to be made here if you can pick up a few clients.

Lol yeah.. been busy.. Sorry i still don't understand what you're trying to do... are you using yoru competitors site to blast to your AA list. Therefore creating a LINK for your competitor? It really depends on that particular competitor because if they are in a position where those SB links will be favorable for them.. .then their rank in the SERPS will increase... therefore increasing their traffic.. But if you're asking if you are commenting on yoru competitors site with just comments to spam his blog... i don't really see that doing much lol If yoru competitor is active, then he can just not approve yoru comments? I don't really understand what you're saying. If i didn't answer your question, let me know.

Yeah its a sweet deal - works great so far. AMR has been working for me. I've had a couple local domains which I blasted with AMR and those links are starting to come up as backlinks. Those backlinks are helping me rank higher in the SERPS for my terms. I know that the "update" was suppose to affect duplicate content and spammy links.... but based on my observations, i haven't seen any affects of any of this. I do use alot of duplicate content as well as unique content. I don't push alot of spammy links (other than AMR) to my money site, but you know I haven't seen a difference there either.

Also, I wanted to say one thing.... You read time and time again about the perspectives of "Blasting 1000's of links to your website will get your sandboxed" vs "That can't be true or else everyone would blast your competitors".

This is my take on it based on my experience....I have tested blasting 1000's of links to a website vs. building it consistently on my domains and also web 2.0 properties. I would say BOTH is true to an extent. I think it all depends on your website and where it currently stands. If you do have a brand new domain and you blast it with 1000's of links - thats just not natural and google can see right through you. Yes you can do this to your competitors, but who does that? How do you know if your "competitor" creates a brand new domain which would give you the opportunity to blast it with your list of spammy blogs? And lets say you've been monitoring your rankings and all of a sudden you see a website pop in the top 10 that you don't like.. its brand new .... no backlinks... i bet you if you did blast it with links after links it would get sandboxed... But would you really do that? And if you did... what if they get sandboxed and come out of it 6 months later to just competley take over your SERP position.. I just don't see anyone really doing it to your competitors.

Theres so many things you need to consider like... how established is the website... how many backlinks does it currently have and how has that affected your rankings? Have you been bulding links consitently? How quickly? How long have you been building it for? Do you have link diversity? These are some of the questions that you should really consider...

All in all... I wouldn't recommend blasting your site with 1000's of links right off the bat... but slowly drip feed them in. But if you're site is super established and you have already 1000's of BL or even 100's of backlinks... I'm sure it can take a little bit more hit from your mass spam links that it would be beneficial. Afterall, blogging links are a different type of link... and several should be linking to your domains.

Whoops! Sorry... been busy.. So alot of interesting this happened in the last week.

So you know how I was saying I did some drip feed SB link blasts... well after a couple days and 500 alive links later... My website went crazy. It jumped straight to the 800th page and it is now ranking at around 330. But, the great thing is that my backlink count is increasing steadily and my ranking is coming back slowly but surely. So not sandboxed or anything, just a google dance. They've detected too many links pointing to my site in such a short amount of time. All these links were AA links. However, I also beleive that another problem is cause I didn't mix up the links as I blasted them too. Those SB links were the only links I was blasting.

Basically, this is a lesson learned. I lost several days of traffic which I do regret, but now I know and have a better understanding how how many links I need to blast. I only did a blast of 500 live links throughout the week.. but the blast was more of about 900 or so. Because of this, I will never blast my site again with that many links so quickly. I'll space it out. This is athe same idea with AMR. Before, I never thought about their daily submissions, but I can see now that it can cause problems. But then again, specifically for AMR, their sites include hundreds of articles that need to be approved... so in the end it does show up as links slowly.

Another cool thing is that instead of an optin... i changed it to a direct redirection to a CB product. I made my first sale there yesterday for $25 or so and this is with like 10 uniques a day and they are coming from web 2.0s and article sites that are still up and ranking well for thieir long tail keywords. But the great thing is that I know now that this niche can in fact convert... my plan is to expand this out and scale this up tremendously. I'm going to be creating several web 2.0 peropreties and treating each one of those as my "money site". Thsi will allow me to dominate most of the listings on the first page.
