Every few years, the internet declares SEO dead.
Blog posts, tweets, LinkedIn gurus — all chanting:
“SEO is over.”
“This time it’s REALLY dead.”

And yet… here we are. Still ranking. Still optimizing. Still adapting.

The truth? SEO never dies. It evolves.

A pattern we’ve all lived through:
  • Keywords faded → Intent took over
Google stopped rewarding keyword stuffing and started rewarding understanding.
  • Backlinks got noisy → Authority & trust matter more
It’s not the link count — it’s the credibility behind it.
  • Clicks dropped → Visibility & experience became the KPI
SERP features, AI boxes, snippets, zero-click… new game, new metrics.
  • Now AI arrives → SEO shifts again
LLMs, AI search, GEO, brand mentions, structured data — the industry shifts, not collapses.

The constant?
Foundations.
Those who survive focus on:

  1. Technical clarity
  2. Strong information architecture
  3. Topical authority
  4. Useful content
  5. Real brand presence
If your fundamentals are strong, algorithm updates don’t shake you they reward you.

SEO isn’t dying. It’s updating. We just need to keep up
