SEO is a roulette now?

It is of no use. If another update comes the websites are all dead
Up to 1.5 million sites are added to search every day.
Google provides 95.5% of searches for all engines.
Ahhh, the site dropped out of the index, all search will die, google will go bankrupt :)

Number of queries doesn´t matter if all the traffic goes to the big 5-6 websites (facebook, reddit, tiktok etc)

But this is not reliable and predictable any more
It was a bad update and more websites have been hit than in previous updates, but the reality is that the websites who got hit are actually a minority, most websites still get the same amount of traffic or revenue, so it's reliable and not like gambling.

Also, not sure if you've noticed this, but some of the websites that lost traffic haven't lost the same percentage revenue-wise, so RPM went up for them.

It only feels like it's NOT reliable nor predictable anymore for people who got hit hard, but for the rest of us it's business as usual.

If you had spent some time studying instead of playing games, you would have also visited the statistics sites and there the traffic distribution has not changed much at all, the visibility of some large sites fluctuates in the total number of requests by no more than 1%.
In general nothing changes, all traffic is distributed as it was distributed before with minor changes.

So? What is your point?
Nothing has changed for normal sites, trash sites that have no right to be in search for a long time have fallen out.
Google could have removed them long ago, but continued to develop algorithms to take into account all possible options, so this shit was in search and received traffic.
Now this shit is gone from search and it's very right. All the normal sites have gone up and continue to do well.

It wasn't about the number of queries but the number of NEW websites (1.5M) that get a piece of traffic from google. That traffic doesn't go to fb, reddit etc.

It's hard to explain to someone that if his shitty site fell out, nothing will change in Google and all people. And since it fell out, even everything will improve, they won't accidentally get to all kinds of garbage, and will get to useful information faster.

P.S>
Yes, for all the offended - no one, yet no one, has ever shown me a site that fell down that didn't deserve it. Show me at least one site where they didn't try to write shit and cheat to make money, but created a really good site, and it fell out of the search.

Oh dear oh dear... are you a google employee? You sound like one :-)

Oh yeah... because we all need to build sites without making any money... like charity basically. That makes sense.

Well... reddit just went from 200milion visits to 1.5 bilion in just few months. Yes you are right :-)

I mostly agree to your posts but I found a number of quality websites that lost traffic in this update even if they were super legit. But yes, this is a minority. Most decent websites have survived.

You'll just piss on the chair if I tell you how many sites I have, and how many of them are created well, so as never to be penalized.
From my first day in SEO I didn't push buttons, but studied seriously how everything works.
And every year the number of my sites increases and none of them go down, ever.

I'm not denying that I too make a certain amount of junk sites that make a lot of money and get removed by Google. But I'm prepared for that, I know they will be removed, and I don't pay then and berate Google for it :)

You see a big number and you think that means something. Ofc Reddit partnership scooped 1% of google traffic. Now what about the rest of 99%?

amazon, youtube, forbes, quora, pinterest and other big brands...

And that's a very good thing. Because that's the kind of query that gets the most sites dropped.
And if you write bullshit on Reddit, a moderator will come sooner or later and delete it, or ban you altogether.

But on a shitty site no moderator will come and people will stumble on bullshit all the time until Google kicks the site out of search.

So it's very good that such shit sites are out and now Reddit will control these queries.

But as soon as a normal site with these queries comes up, it immediately becomes higher than Reddit.

I will drop probably an unpopular opinion but it seems there is same chance to win in a casino than build a stable money-making website nowadays.

Yeah, i know, wise and respectable Jr. Vips Execs or link sellers will come here now and will tell that , of course, i am wrong. Ok.
Type of casino but don't loose hope mate

Nah, you're just finding excuses at this point, there's plenty of traffic to go around. You said yourself you're out of the game and you don't want to learn anything anymore, nothing changes if you keep repeating your beliefs, we here in the trenches are playing the actual game.

You give the example of projects that serve duplicate queries of their types.
All these brands are known almost immediately to all new people in search.
And they go to them when they want to look at this particular type of site. But the same people on the same queries will go to the usual site, if the type of site from the list above they do not need.
Therefore, simple sites do not lose anything from this.
Create your own channels and branches on these sites and you will also get users there and on your regular site.

P.S>
You are still very far from seo and from the concept of how to make good sites. Learn, there are a lot of free good places for this.
